Having played this game before, I kind of know what to expect, however its still kind of vague for me.
But in the light of my Clear Crystal run, we are going to bring a modified Furret with us!


If you couldn't tell, this Furret is SUPER special.
Its baseline stats is as follows:
HP⠀ = 85
ATK = 100
DEF = 85
SPE = 125
SPA = 45
SPD = 85

Its ability is Huge Power, so it hits REALLY hard
and its has a bunch of illegal moves, most notably, Extreme Speed and Close Combat.

But because we have this really strong Furret, we're going to play on Intense difficulty, which should offer something new for me!
The battles are going to be super hard which means it'll be way more entertaining!
Also, I have to play on set (since thats how Pokemon was meant to be played tbh) and I am not allowed to use items in battle.

We'll also be using a few mods, a mod that basically adds music themes to important trainers and a modular modpack which does a bunch of diff nifty stuff.

Chapter 0 - Prologue

I love this games Prologue
I think this game tells a really good story and I love it
But lets get into it.


Since I'm not going to flood this thread with Screenshots and post screenshots of a story that you could read for yourself, I'ma just post a summary

Once upon a time there was a Zorua who lived in a forest.
He liked to transform into other pokemon and beings that lived in the forest
He did this to trick others into giving him food, or to have a place to stay overnight
He didn't have friends
But then he met Pangoro
The Zorua and Pangoro were fighting over a golden apple.
The fight ended in a tie since they were both evenly matched.
Then they became friends, traveled the world together, overcame hardships, went on thrilling adventures
Then Zorua decided "hey, I'm going to pull a devious prank on my friend by transforming into his fallen mother lulw"
So then the Pangoro got his food, came back to see his dead mother, dropped his food including a golden apple
Zorua at this moment transformed, and asked where the Pangoro got the apple
but Pangoro looked at the Zorua with fury, sadness, and disappointment
Zorua at this moment knew that he fucked up
They were no longer friends

THE NEXT DAY

The dialogue here is really ordinary, but either way our mother tells us to get our dad which we do

he seems pretty busy and he looks like a cunt tbh

either way there isn't much we can really do here aside from tell her and then go back upstairs but yes, apparently we'll get to play lots outside today! Yaaaaaaaaaay

anyhow the music is starting to get a bit more intense right about now and its crazy, this is my second time playing through this prologue but even though I know what happens, I'm still on the edge of my seat

Hi welcome to another epsiode of Ali cheats at a video game

first of all, I hate slot machines
second of all, I hate lootboxes

this game has an achievement system
basically you get points for playing the game
like for example
walking around town

we can use the points we get from achievements to then get stuff like
- rare candies (we'll be getting an infnite amount of those so I don't have to spend a day to train up a new mon if I try to add in a new addition and its really low leveled
- Golden Items, these items make it so you don't have to teach your pokemon hm moves like cut to progress the game. Yes please.
- the NEW Xp Share, and because level caps are actually a really amazing mechanic, its not unhealthy!
and some other gooddies that I don't really care about, vitamins and cards for EV Training rooms (we'll get these tho just because we can)

so either way it'll be a bit before I get back to this ig

I'll take suggestions on starters since I'm not sure I actually want to use Bulba.
Here is what I will not use

Any Fire starter that isn't Fennekin. Here are my reasons for such
-- Charmander for the same reason I don't want to use Cyndaquil in that they both do the same thing. Charizard uses Heat Wave, Typhlosion uses Eruption, it changes the field and makes the game eaiser.
-- Cyndaquil, used it in my last reborn run, it was loads of fun, want a different experience.
-- Torchick, in general makes the game way too easy combined with Captain our super mega special awesome Furret
-- Chimchar, recently used in my other save of Rejuv and I found that its a very uninteresting mon to use tbh
-- Tepig and Litten, I can understand Litten fans, but the mon just isn't for me and who would ever want to use Tepig? I hate that mons design I hate everything it stands for I HATE THE FACT WE HAVE SO MANY FIRE FIGHTING STARTERS GAMEFREAK STOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOP

- Froakie, meh overated and boring tbh. I've used Greninja so many times as a mon just by itself, I'm bored of it
- Snivy, I never USED a Snivy before but it doesn't look fun to use and feels like it'll play out as "spam leaf storm over and over until you win"

That leaves us with, well I'll do this by type

Fire
- Fennekin, looks fun to use tbh, I don't expect it to be good but kinda just fun

Grass
- Bulbasaur, I like the mon and I haven't actually used a bulbasaur in a good minute
- Chikorita, I remember bashing Ausuka for loving the mon so much but I do think its pretty cute and I like its design, not to mention I have a friend who is a big Chikorita lover and used a Chikorita in his reborn playthrough and probably his rejuv playthrough. Also, Rejuv features an item known as crests, basically think of it as a mega stone except its not a mega-evolution, it just enhances what a mon can do. For example, Ledian has a crest that makes it punch 4 times (Get it, cuz it has 4 arms hehe). Zangoose has a crest that poisons it and restores HP if the Pokemon is poisoned, Ariados has a crest that increases base speed by 1.5x and always hit critically if target is poisoned, Infernape has a crest that swaps its atk and spa atk stats with its def and spd stats. Basically the tl;dr is these can act as like a seperate ability, merge stats, boost stats, do a whole bunch of stuff. Meganium has this crest: Meganium and allies take reduced damage and recover every turn. It looks REALLY fun to use actually so I might check it out.
- Treecko, Its what I orignally intented to use and I'm still a fan of using it.
- Turtwig, I love this fucking thing. Its a fucking turtle with a tree on top of it. I love its design, it gets a really cool crest as well, I'd be totally down to use this.
- Chespin, eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeh, I'll try it ig if people want me to??????? Its something I'm willing to give a chance.
- Rowlet, looks cool

Water
- Squirtle, its squirtle, say no more.
- Toadadile, I haven't used this thing in awhile and Feraligatr gets a really cool crest so I wouldn't mind giving it another spin
- Mudkip, I actually haven't used Mudkip in awhile, I don't think Mudkip gameplay is very exciting compared to so many other options we have BUT I MEAN HEY, IF PEOPLE WANT IT WE GOTTA GIVE THE PEOPLE WE WANT, its the least we can do. And also its mudkip, who doesn't love mudkip
- Piplup, I love this mon too, I've been meaning to give it a spin in Reborn or Rejuv so if people want me to I'm down, also its crest is decent
- Oshawatt, the best gen 5 starter, its so cuuuuuuuuu-
- Poplio, never used it before, am open to trying new things.

There is also the me opting to not use a starter since well

This battle makes me wish rock slide would just have 100% accuracy. If Teddy can't land a single rock slide I just lose
like this is frustrating, galvantula will basically kill anything with a z-move
and then scizor has a turn where he's protected because basically, reborn and rejuv have these held items called seeds, and there are multiple kinds of them. These seeds activate different effects depending on the field. Well, Scizor gets a turn of protection to do whatever it wants.
Usually it just kills something with bullet punch
also its raining so Fire doesn't really do much
and I WISH I had something with Sunny Day, because then I could just change the weather and that solves most of my problems


I did win tho
luckily, a flare blitz WILL kill scizor, and 6x evasion needed to work
but if I could not kill that scizor, there would be some fucking problems

It took me a couple of tries to realize that Trees (my Cacturne) is actually really good for this fight only because it has sucker punch and for some reason that does a lot of a damage.
If not for that Cacturne, the mamoswine rotom-Freeze combo would have honestly ripped my team to shreds since everything is super fast and for some reason, even outrunning Captain.
It took a bit of strategy to figure this out, but yay I did it!

Missy is super niche now with the adition of Princess. Missy is good for perish song and Shadow Ball. Thats literally it. Its sad but she should come up again for sure.
Trees (Cacturne) is only really good for sucker punch in doubles.
Colossus (Mamoswine) hasn't really been pulling its weight. Neither has Teddy (Lyncanroc) who honestly should be pulling its weight decently.
Not sure why Schadenfreud is the only real bulky thing I have, but ig I have to take Hans (Alo-Muk) and Colossus

most of this information is a refresher for me, because honestly
its been awhile and I've forgotten mostly everything that happens here.

Anyhow, the Miera Region is 9 hours west of Aevium
It was abandoned when there was a nuclear meltdown at a nuclear plant that was owned by the Blakeory's
so they fled from the Miera Region to the Aevium Region. These people are Aevium's first citizens.
The incident itself was caused by 10 individuals who all died on the site
only 2 of them were able to be identified
- A woman named Freya, who was part of the International Police. She's why the plant went under
- The leader of Team Xen, Lord Xenadin

The Miera Region itself had a ton of crime.
It had its own evil team as do all pokemon games do, but this region was also named Team Xen (this was not led by Madame X)

Anyways, now we're looking for where Rune got the book from now.
We decided to walk into this scumbag.

120 BP move 100 Accurate 100% chance to paralyze
this thing is sleeper broken

At the start of time, there was 1 deity which light itself would bend at its presence

So the woman liked pokemon but the man thought that pokemon weren't needed and humans were superior. He saw Pokemon as if they were beings who could wield power and humans as if they couldn't. He saw pokemon as above them because they had power.
The deity told him that they were equal

then a meteor struck the deity splitting the being into 3 beings, dragging 1 fragment far away, mortally wounding the 2nd one which would disintegrate and fall apart, and the last fragment took the name Arceus.

then Arceus became the Archetype, aka the triangle object thing here

it was the embodiment of Arceus' love.
The man and woman knew if its existence was found out it would create chaos, so they sealed it away and would not use it for their selfish desires.
So it rested peacefully, awaiting the day that Arceus would return to its people.

But this pact was broken soon after.
The man wanted The Archetype's power, so he stormed the woman's castle and demand the woman surrender.
they fought and the first pokemon war began
then there were many wars
then the world was nothing but pain and suffering
The queen and her son who was a knight fought for safety.

But war pressed down deeply on the woman's heart.
