There is a 1/6 chance that BP is a safeclaim for scum. (The scum PoV is actually 1/4 or 0).

Forcing scum to commit to that earlier as opposed to being able to claim when they're under pressure means it's less so a fakeclaim.

Similarly, Town can safely claim BP as BP and be a functional innocent for the game since scum would need to spend two days shooting them.

Additionally, in the case that we're in Doc/Tracker, Tracker can be assured of the existence of a Doc via the nature of the setup. Which allows for the breaking strat of Follow the Tracker (Tracker claims/Doc protects tracker ad nauseam.

Whether this is actually an optimal strat is fairly well accepted by everyone but me, but the people who know my proposed scum strats to take advantage of it in this game are Jingle and RadiantCowbells.

Which means, of course, that scum Jingle is either not taking advantage of those strats in the interest of pocketing RC, scum Jingle is not taking advantage of those strats because we're in RB, or Jingle is town.

Which further means that in the absence of a roleblocker, RC/Jingle is a functionally impossible team.

Here's why I disagree with RC's idea that BP claim is optimal.

There are 4 potential setups where scum can claim BP (Goon/Goon):

Cop 9er
JK 9er
BP Track
DocTrack

In JK 9er, the scum who ballsy autoclaims probably just wins.
In cop 9er, the scum who ballsy autoclaims can retract into Doc fakeclaiming in order to potentially survive most of the game. They pretty much 0% get lynched D1. Also, this outs all of the town's power.
In BPtrack, it's a 1v1 on D1, with a 50% chance of completely negating the tracker's utility on N1. If town lynches outside of the BP's, it's a 1/7 chance of outing the tracker D1, and a 1/5 chance of shooting the tracker N1 without the tracker doing anything useful. This is the worst possible outcome for scum.
In DocTrack, it completely negates follow the tracker and has that same 50% chance of town netting 0% of anything for it.

Of course, this all relies on it being a goon goon setup and one of the scumteam being confident in their ability to win a game by themselves. If I wasn't that confident in my scumbuddy, I would totally want to bus them anyway, and would have instructed them to claim BP in my stead.

tl;dr: I think there is significant scum utility in fakeclaiming BP day 1 in goon goon, and RC knows that about me.

They went out of their way to point out they had no reads. That is a great way to get negative attention and pressure on you as scum, and it's completely avoidable because coming up with fake reads is very easy.

First of all, the cop claim and then subsequent survival implies doc. Which is 2 ICs, one of which is hidden.

Second of all, if we lynch the JK claim, there's a 50% chance that the JK claim flips RB. If the rb flips and the cop is outed, they're unkillable. They get an investigation off every night until the doctor is shot. If that's one night (worst case) we have 2 conftown. If that's two nights, 3 conftown and we can lynch EVERY player who could possibly be mafia.

tl;dr, outing the cop leads to potential follow the cop. Outing the doc leads to not that.

Yeah. If this flips red, there's a Cop OR a JK OR a tracker. Whichever one of those that targets me is either a clear or a guilty. If this flips red then I would be the last scum in the case of a guilty, and thus a lack of claim would be clearing.

I mean, I suppose you could argue that if there is a cop and a doc I'd be capable of blocking the cop as RB, but that would be something that would rely on my finding the correct PR to block out of the 7 remaining town and would come to light as a possibility down the road when the cop was like, yo, guys, I don't gotta result.

So, functionally, if CoI flips red, I can be treated as conftown barring claims tomorrow. Functionally, this means that scum SHOULD shoot me tonight, protecting any PR we have. Again, if CoI flips red.

If CoI flips green, I'm just as much a potential scumfuck as any of you bastards and should probably never be trusted because I'm slippery like a faux.

But approaching this as a puzzle where I manipulate people into reading me as town and then looking at when those manipulations don't align with reality is the only way I manage to come up with semi accurate individual reads. And most people don't pick up on the fact that that's what I'm doing, so most people don't scumread me for it.
