Why does town do so badly with the White Flag mechanic?

I wonder if any blatantly scumsided setups aren’t actually scumsided.

I think these are scumsided because of the lake of power roles. It seemed like the addition of power roles is to balance the inherent fact that town are more likely to lose. As scum, you can identify the players you can’t push and just get rid of them with a nk. Essentially, towns lose because they get burnt at both ends of the wick. The good townies get nk’ed and the bad townies get strung up.

I legit think that would improve scum win rates yes
Have scum been losing more often than winning?

Is there any place that has overall statistics for the winrates, broken down by game size (micro, mini theme, mini normal, etc)?

So you’re saying town is getting colder in games other than the Flags and that’s why Flag gametypes are turning out to be scumsided?

I definitely think the game in a powerless game gets boring for town quicker than mafia. In a way, power roles combat the inherent scumsided aspect of the game and the boredom for townies. I know I personally get rejuvenated when I see a red flip.

Don’t be so hyperbolic, Creature. Geriatric is not playing once every 14-days. Though I do think Geriatric can be improved slightly. I do think that more dynamic games are townsided, but aren’t we already experiencing a massive shift in win rates in favor of town? Flag gametypes excluded.

Yeah I do think people misconstrue what geriatric implies. It just means less fluff, not “no effort”.

I actually try to avoid the spammy lists because it’s too hard to keep up and I primarily phone post. I fear that it is going to be very hard to find a non-spammy, non-geriatric list.
