If players think that Skellen is unconfirmed, they will interact with her differently than they will when she's confirmed IC. So it's basically two interactions for the price of one. One interaction with unconfirmed Skellen, and one with IC Skellen. Who knows what info we would have gotten if Persivul had held back Skellen's role, but it could well have been useful. As it is, we got implosion's scumread on Skellen.
