+1, the tom might be scum. Rereading through, it feels like he's playing to get townread and not as provocatively as I've seen him as town. There's a lot of fluff-posting and not much substance, as well.In post 97, Firebringer wrote:that's a weird question- Elastic Plastic

That's a nice intuitive pronoun usage! Unless you've already figured out my main. I think that's a read you arrive at naturally, though? Which is why I gave you town points in my vote on duck.In post 189, Alacrity wrote:Her posting feels very flat, and I would not be surprised if her comment on the duck and emps was designed to look for early access into the potential townblock!- Elastic Plastic

Is your weird question referring to the lets be masons thing? That felt like light banter tbh it didn't strike me as weird. I do agree that my scumread on wurst was a stretch! It's also like day one and I like to follow where my gut takes me to see what happens. In post 258, Garmr wrote:I also asked a weird question, yet you are focused on the worst asking me the weird one. Also While the duck fluffs there's been plenty of substance in there post more than usual so this hits me as a reach to scum read. I'm not going to count the snore post in this.
I didn't mean to! I'm trying to keep this alt very mysterious and stuff but you're a social person and there are a ton of people on site that know your first name so it wasn't a huge slip I guess. Also I'm not Cheeky! I think a lot of what I was seeing that pinged my gut was like the questions you were asking early-game felt very low-key. I've seen you play very provocatively in the past and going hard as town and the last time I've seen you play scum I saw a lot of the same fluffy-friendliness/more surface level questions/etc etc. I could just need to adjust to the fact that we're in early game? I don't really feel like I'm explaining this well but the Garmr question is a great example of like a question that I just didn't really understand what you were getting at with; it felt like you were asking it just for the sake of asking a question. Does that make sense? It's hard to point to any specific post here, it's more just a general sense of your play feeling different? In post 265, the worst wrote:cheeky real name drop smh

I'm just still not sure what you were aiming at with the Garmr question? I do tend to get very conf-biasy and I think I scumread you like basically 100% of games I'm in so I'm just gonna take a step back until I'm more awake? UNVOTE:In post 359, the worst wrote:so at what point is my question to Garmr indicative of me fluffposting rather than applying pressure/getting conversation going/trying to read Garmr?
I get the feeling people think I'm posting to be townread. Why would I think asking Garmr that abstract a question would get me townread?
Why do you jump to the assumption that me asking an abstract question of Garmr (in a sea of posts prompting conversations and sorting players) is because I'm scum, and not because I'm working an angle?
Eh. I agree with Alacracity's reasonings behind voting for you in the early game. I feel like your iso has much more meaningful content lately but I just haven't read it closely at all to be honest. I feel like the shading of your wagon stuck out as weird to me but beyond that it was mostly early tonal stuff that's hard to pin down? What do you think of the rest of my ISO?
your case on me is one-dimensional. i'm playing in like 1000000 dimensions.- Elastic Plastic

Okay I just read this, you're probably town lmfao. In post 369, the worst wrote:@Elastic, i think garmr intended to be coy/prompt iconeum into producing alignment indicative content with this question
but in a vacuum his vote pinged somewhat opportunistic
combining those two factors, he tried to coyly interrogate iconeum while voting him which has the subtlety of "WHY ARE YOU LIKE THIS, SCUM???"
i was going to meta check him to work out whether completely unsubtle interrogation was alignment indicative, and while i was internally waxing poetic i suppose i just felt like asking him to see if he was aware of it as a tell for himself.
i didn't bother in the end; net of all things i think it's kinda towny and his other posts have been towny- Elastic Plastic

Define "read." I think I've read almost every post but I tend to not read too closely when I'm feeling lazy and fall back to gut-feel; especially early game. I've had very mixed results with the process. I think nsg once said sometimes she just falls back on looking at the layout of posts to get reads and I guess I do something similar with my gut-reads but I need to break out of that habit. In post 378, Iconeum wrote:how much of the game did you read before going after worst?- Elastic Plastic

Hrmmm that is like frustratingly vague to me right now. Can you point to parts of his opener that you think are town-minded? I feel like I'm seeing a lot of tw-town thought processes in his more recent posts but like I felt like his opener is what pinged me as scummy so I'm struggling to see how you arrived there.

Voting you would be too on the nose; Ank (double checked; it's an Ank alt; would not surprise me in the slightest if Krazy was still in this game somewhere) is the only other person I've really had meaningful game interactions with in this lobby I feel like. Plus her =) shtick is great and getting a wagon going on that would've been really fun to be honest.- Elastic Plastic
