...i like fall a lot. being australian, i forget about that thing.
forest/buck/shot probably still feel strongest to me but i'm comfortable subbing if you guys aren't confident.

We have Calf, Fall, and Buck which are all three valid options for number three. And then there are even MORE options. That's too much. The chance of total failure is higher than the chance of success.
I say Forest/Shot yes, then pass. Going by the number of valid guesses they don't know much about hunting, so anything like slug has low chances of being correct.

Even someone who doesn't know a lot about hunting should know Forest and Shot. But the third... absolutely no idea if it is calf, fall, buck... it could be Fire, too(as in shoot a gun).

On that basis I'd be more inclined to lock in a more obvious hunting clue (shot feels intuitive; buck seems intuitive; forest seems intuitive; anything else would require a degree of hunting knowledge)
Much more comfortable putting in an answer than not. Think it's one of those situations where it's better value to trust the Spymaster, imo. Happy to be overruled on this if you & Fishy disagree though

I'd trust the spymaster if we had one more possible connection, or maybe two. But we have five or SIX invalid connections;
and fire seems to not need hunting knowledge, too.

The standard rules treat proper nouns as fine so long as they obey the other rules that were agreed on. As for Googling, that's considered getting outside help and therefore cheating.
