It’s not hard to understand it just requires so much suspension of belief concerning every mainstream balancing metric from a design standpoint that you have to be lying.

3P faction is possible too. Have you ever played a Varsoon game? Or a Mastina game perhaps?
This 3P faction though can win with scum but not with town.

There are many scenarios to be considered here: One of which is to treat Aeon as an uninformed group of Traitors. They "want to" work with Simotech but they don't know who they are.

Another is to consider the option of the Aeon faction leaving the game upon achieving their win con, so let's say 1 Simotech, 2 townies & 3 Aeon remain (just a hypothetical illustrative example that I can't actually imagine being true because that would mean Aeon started with at least 3 members and so did Simotech). In that case Aeon are either declared winners and the game ends, OR they leave the game with a win leaving the 2 town vs 1 Simotech player battling it out in LyLo.

If you can't wrap your head around it all, just forget it and treat Aeon as a SCUM team regardless. They clearly have to outnumber the Rebels anyway, so they ARE an enemy. It just could be that they cannot kill and thus if we manage to eliminate Simotech and still have more living players than Aeon that they auto-lose.

This is an explicit scum claim. I can't explain "everything" (the game is bastard, GDI), but PP was defending me yesterday so I deduced he may have been responsible for Ascetizing me, and from the "story" of his flip I believe I was targeted bu him again tonight (possibly trying to convert me?) only I activated tonight so I strongly believe I was his killer, and for Oversoul to want me dead still hints he knows I killed his p.

I don't buy the claim at all. This was most definitely a scum cross kill because Penguin innoed you and also got serum.

Another thing that bothers me is that Penguin would know that the other scumteam would def target him if he softed investigative. Why risk that if not to protect a more powerful role?
