Alien Night Kill Immune Miller Vigilante

Each night, you may attempt to kill a player. You cannot be killed at night. Note that your kill is separate from the standard 1-shot factional kill the Aliens possess.

Investigatives receive the following (guilty) results on you (due to you being a Miller):

Cop - "Mafia"
Seer - "Werewolf"
FBI Agent - "Serial Killer"
Conspiracy Theorist - "Alien"
Bloodhound - "Not Town"
Scumfinder - "Guilty"

You cannot hammer a player. If you try to cast a vote that is a hammer (and you are unaware of this fact), your vote will not be counted. If you try to cast a hammer vote that you know (or ought to know; i.e.: by elimination thresholds) is a hammer, you will receive a warning the first time and your vote will not be counted. On the second and subsequent time, you will forcibly commit suicide.

Alien Universal Backup

You are aligned with the Aliens.
At the beginning of the game, you possess no special abilities.

When the first non-vanilla Alien (this includes roles like Alien Neighbor) dies, you inherit their role entirely including modifiers and left other shots for X-Shot abilities. Moderator discretion is allowed if multiple Aliens die in one phase, but using a deterministic (e.g.: player first on player list shot first) rather than random (e.g.: roll a die with dice tags) criteria is advised for consistency sake.

If you are eliminated due to another role manipulating the elimination mechanic (e.g.: kingmaker but excludes things like doublevoter and hated), the manipulator is killed in addition to your elimination. See also Hero (first paragraph of variants).

For nonstandard roles, can we please always include the description, even if it is the post above. What if another person comes along and reuses the role's name but gives it a different definition? While in the simplest cases, one can just look at the above role(s), in other cases, it's not nearly as simple.

The player may choose any standard alignment for this role: town, mafia, werewolves, aliens, serial killer, jester, condemner (random target), or neutral survivor. Other alignments may be allowed as determined by moderator discretion. The player must choose during the setup/design phase (i.e.: before role pms go out), after all other alignments have been determined.

Broken roles will be rerolled. Since I'm allowing players to semi-pick their roles and given the amount of time it likely takes to generate the setup, I think it may be better to not reroll unbalanced setup. Grand Idea is meant to be pretty crazy anyway. I'm open to reconsidering this though if people would prefer a balanced game.

If the game consists of 6-7 players, then the game is guaranteed to possess 2 Mafia, 1 Werewolf, and 3-4 Town.
If the game consists of 8-9 players, then the game is guaranteed to possess 2 Mafia, 2 Werewolves, and 4-5 Town.
If the game consists of 10-11 players, then the game is guaranteed to possess 2 Mafia, 2 Werewolves, 1 Jester, and 5-6 Town.
If the game consists of 12-13 players, then the game is guaranteed to possess 3 Mafia, 3 Werewolves, and 6-7 Town.
If the game consists of 14-17 players, then the game is guaranteed to possess 2 Mafia, 2 Werewolves, 2 Aliens, 1 Jester, and 7-10 Town.
If the game consists of 18+ players, then the game is guaranteed to possess at least 3 Mafia, 3 Werewolves, 2 Aliens, 1 Serial Killer, and 9 Town.

The player that receives this role is informed of such.

If the alignment ratio does not match, reroll alignments until the alignment ratio matches the above.
If this role conflicts with another role, this role takes precedence.

Diplomat


Uses the first win con that applies to the setup.
Mods are instructed to provide all win cons in the role pm and to avoid telling the player which one applies. Aka, it's like a closed win con! You may want to include this notice in the role pm.


Win: You win with the Peacemaker. You must attempt to force all factions to avoid any kills/eliminations (that succeed) for a total of 3 consecutive phases. This can be Night, Day, Night or Day, Night, Day.


Win: You win with the Self-Aligned Neutral Rebalancer! Please note that the Self-Aligned Neitral Rebalancer does not know this. You win when all factions (each Diplomat counts as a separate faction) are reduced to one player. You automatically lose if any faction is completely eliminated. The Self-Aligned Neutral Rebalancer and any third party factions are counted as separate factions (if multiple exist). The cult counts as a single faction. If you lose, you become a kingmaker in the game.


Win: All neutral survivors become a single faction. You are a part of that faction (as are any other diplomats). No neutral survivors will be informed of this changed win con, but you win if
All
of you survive to D3 and **you** or another diplomat survives to LyLo.


(If there are multiple Diplomats)
You, as are any other Diplomat, is allied with the town. You win when all threats to the town are eliminated.


(If there is a single Diplomat)
You are effectively a neutral survivor. You win if you are the only player remaining. If the game ever reaches a "would-be" Happily Ever After outcome, you win instead.


Each night, you may use
1
of your active abilities:

Diplomatic Relations
- Each night, you may use your diplomcy skills to form a neighborhood with 2 players. Mods are instructed to generate new neighborhood threads each time this power is used unless the player requests otherwise.

Diplomatic Persuasion
- You may attempt to convince a player to not vote each night. This ability cannot be roleblocked, but if the player you target is killed, you die too unless a doctor saves **you**.

1-Shot Role Cop
- As a diplomat, you can be very persuading at times. You may on a single night investigate a player. If you succeed, you will learn the alignment and role of the targeted player, free from any meddling abilities such as miller. You may also use this ability on yourself: if you aren't roleblocked, you will learn your true win condition.

Friendly Diplomat
- You may, once a night, have the mod confirm to another player that you are a diplomat. Your win con will not be revealed.

You also have two passive abilities: 1-Shot BP and 1-Shot Prince.

Finally, when investigated, you show up as
Peaceful
and "Not Guilty" to any weapon inspections. (You appear guilty to anyone who investigates SK/Not SK).

Each night, you may EITHER attempt to prime a player to mark for execution on a later night OR ignite all currently primed players. Your kills bypass normal protection mechanism (e.g.: doctors won't save a person) as it is fire-based (so firefighters can save people).

Neutral Survivor Shop Owner

While you are alive, players can gain gold coins. Every player on the elimination wagon at the end of a day (no elimination excluded) receives one gold coin. In addition, all living players receive an additional two gold coins at the start of each day.

At night, players may spend their gold coins on
one
of the following:

Telepathic Link
(2 Gold Coins): Establishes a permanent neighborhood with a player of your choice. This neighborhood exists for as long as either of you are alive. WARNING: You cannot be released to the dead thread until both of you die.

Quantum Drive I
(5 Gold Coins): Once during the day by PM, you may use this device to shorten or extend the day's deadline by three real-life days. NOTE: You may not shorten a deadline to less than 24 hours to prevent forced no elimination. This device lasts until used.
Only one player may buy this device.


Quantum Drive II
(4 Gold Coins): Once during the day by PM, you may use this device to delay the elimination's flip by 48 hours. (Specifically, the moderator should keep the thread open during a 48 hour "Twilight" phase after the moderator acknowledges a hammer has occurred. All living players (including the hammered players) may converse during this time. This must be used before a hammer occurs. This device lasts until used.
Only one player may buy this device.


Undying Soul
(6 Gold Coins): Once bought, you will automatically treestump upon your death rather than being sent to the dead thread. You may still talk in the game thread, but you cannot vote. You may also activate this ability early if you prefer.
Only one player may buy this item.


Restless Soul
(4 Gold Coins): Once bought, you may post for an additional day/night cycle following your death.
Each player may only purchase this once.


Weak Communication Link
(1 Gold Coin): On the night you buy this, you may send a short (maximum of 999 characters including BBCode) message to a player of your choosing.

Bond Strengthener
(3 Gold Coins): Once bought, the character cap on Weak Communication Link is increased by 500 characters for all players.
Each player may only purchase this once.

Town 1-Shot Friendly Grandest Reroller

Once per game, you may target a player. You will be confirmed as town to that player. Furthermore, at the end of the night but before the flip(s), the targeted player will receive three picks from the Grand Idea thread. They must choose one for their alignment and one for their role. (Failure to choose in a timely order should result in the first choice being the alignment pick and the second choice being the role pick.) The player has their alignment and role switched to the chosen picks immediately. (This voids any action they tried to perform that night, but if for example, someone tried to kill them and they became bulletproof, they'll survive.) The unused pick is revealed at daystart.

Each night, you may attempt to lecture a player on that ability. That player is roleblocked (they're too busy taking notes!) and has a 10% chance of gaining the ability permanently, 15% chance to gain a one-shot version of the ability, and 75% chance of learning nothing.

Neutral Computer

Players will know that a computer exists, but not the identity of the computer.

Each night, players may send the moderator a command. (The mod should resolve sent commands in the player list order as posted in the game's opening post.)

Note that the buffer listed below is a literal; all other values are associated with multiple tokens. Everything including and after the colon is the corresponding description and do not need to be used. Be lenient on errors.

mov register1 value : Copies the provided integer value to register1.
mov buffer "string" : Copies the provided string to register1 (minus the quotes)
mov register1 register2 : Copies the contents of register1 to register2.
cat buffer "string" : Appends the provided string (minus the quotes) to the end of the buffer.
xchg register1 register2 : Exchanges the contents of register1 and register2.
add register1 register2 : Adds register2 to register1 and the stores the contents in register1.
exec register1 register2 : Executes the command in register1 with the contents of register2 as a parameter.
exec register1 register2 buffer : Executes the command in register1 with the contents of register2 and the string buffer as parameters. Both parameters must be used for the execution command to be valid.
clr register1 : Resets the contents of register1 to zero.
clr buffer : Clears the string buffer.

REGISTER TABLE:
$1-$8: General purpose registers that can store integers.

EXECUTE TABLE: (List of things to do when the exec command is used. Invalid parameters cause no action.)
Command 0: Do nothing.
Command 1: Confirm the alignment of the player that corresponds to the provided register's value. (E.g.: 1 for player 1 in the player list, etc.)
Command 2: Confirm the role of the player that corresponds to the provided register's value.
Command 3: Attempts to kill the player player that corresponds to the provided register's value.
Command 4: Sends a message based on the contents of the string buffer to the player that corresponds to the provided register's value. Note that if the provided register has a value of -1, the message is broadcasted globally at day start.
Command 5: Halts the machine preventing it from accepting any more commands during the night.

Register values and submitted commands are revealed at the start of each day. (Commands are revealed in the order processed, but the identity of the person who sent the command remains anonymous.)

You win if you are still alive during endgame.
Mod Notes: Basically, this is a miniature computer that you can program with assembly-like code. Hopefully my explanation isn't too confusing/complex. I'll probably update this post with some more commands in the future.
