Yah, titles based on catchphrases are not the best.

i like it!! it suits sausage better the more you think about it

he's regularly that townie voice of reason, as town. i can dig through games if you need but i see him often telling his townmates to focus and stay on track. even when not correct, nudging the game in a direction where it'll become more solvable. an example that leaps to mind (only time we've both been town smh) is psyche's liars and millers game where we were on trajectory for a d2 town win. people started getting all paranoid and stuff. sausage swept in with the "don't panic friends, [the last scum] is the last scum". he was right. his continued positive assertion of that read was a large part of what kept us from flying off the rails in that phase, and it's something i've seen across games i've modded/backup'd for sausage as well.

the subtle humour and ambiguous-ironic vibe in the title suits his general posting style/sense of humour extremely well imo. like it's like, something you can safely take at face value as i'll detail. but it's also a kind of funny thing to just, say out of the blue. like outside of sausage popping into sitechat with the phase, i can't really imagine somebody saying it conversationally without being at least slightly funny. but it's not really important whether it's ironic or not, it's kinda just a funny-but-nice thing to see, y'know?

that humourous vibe also lends really well to his scumgame which is equally social, and extremely cheeky. he's capable of being simultaneously that "townie voice of reason [tm]", absolutely hilarious, and looking like he's positively reinforcing the gamestate, while being scum.

different pros & cons, but i'm seeing a similar energy here to what struck me about "for the homies" for enter--i accept it's a meme/catchphrase but until i saw von's nom i hadn't even considered it as a title and now that i'm thinking about it i'm like nodding along a little

i don't wanna start a war if people are passionate about anti-nomming; just ~felt~ it and wanted to drop some earnest commentary. this might also help mastina consider the title (if she chooses to)
who's scum? i haven't read up yet but like, it's me

isn't the whole "stay positive friends" like some ironic self statement saudade says? Ive never gotten the idea of it just as when rick says "Wubalubadubdub"

I feel you could replace "stay positive friends" with almost anything and just if he kept repeating it, this would effectively do the same as that. So no idea what people get out of it. Its not really related to saudade general attitude or demeanor its just a thing he says.

Don’t see how being funny or social are mutually exclusive, and to be cheeky seems, to me, to need the existence of both. I don’t see how any one or any two of them preclude the existence of any other.

Sorry, just throwing my 2 cents in.

if it'll help i'll collate examples, at some point - one included in my writeup. don't have the time at the moment.

talked about in the write-up. it's simultaneously sincerely sweet, and also a slightly funny thing to say (subtle humour).
it's a quirky enough turn of phrase that it may be read as ironic, and may be read as sincere. i don't think that's important; it's quite cool either way (ambiguous-ironic).

Even If all this is true, then it’s still not a good nom. “Stays positive” would be the superior nom in that case.

And even then, I don’t see how it fits. If you actually have to go to all the trouble to “collate” jack, it means that it’s not at all obvious to enough people, hence all of the anti-noms in the first place.

Spoiler:
Despite this, I actually look fwd to your “collating”
absolutely ANYTHING
from my meta someday but I won’t be holding my breath or anything. :P

Title fairy feedback: in my experience, the title would be more of an ironic title for Saudade rather than an actually accurate/appropriate title for him.

If the intention of the title were to be deliberately ironic, I would probably entertain the idea, but everything I am seeing suggests that the nomination was meant to be dead serious and unironic. Given that, I'd need a much stronger argument than what I have seen.

I think it straddles the boundary between irony and sincerity. I'll try and do a more thorough write-up (no idea on an ETA for this due to travel etc.)

Nominate Cyrus62 for
Dealt with the Devil
for this

Long story short, a bunch of alternate wincons were present in this game. Cyrus was mafia and had to hammer his teammate or otherwise get an item that his teammate was holding. Two other town players (Pine and PenguinPower) had this same wincon. Cyrus made a deal with Pine and PP by outting his teammate with the item so that Cyrus could hammer the teammate and get the item to satisfy his alt wincondition. Much chaos ensued, but Cyrus was hung, followed by the outted teammate, which had the domino effect of causing the last mafia to concede. All because he made a little deal with the devil.

Pine is the devil because he is
devilishy good looking
good at scum.
