"can be fixed"? Anything can be fixed if you care enough to do so. We can add in some measures with the forum randomizer to make it pretty unfixable (it doesn't have to be anyone in particular rolling - heck, could be multiple rollers simulatenously, determining position by the sum modulo N - and we can set a time for whoever wants to be checking the forum constantly to ensure there's no double posting funny business). But if you're determined to believe it's rigged no matter what we do, can't really help you there.

Mith, you sure the schedules are set right? I believe I am correctly playing my division mates twice, but I am doing that weeks 2, 8, 9, 12, 13, 14 instead of 1, 2, 3, 12, 13, 14.

This is how it has always been set up - division games in weeks 2, 12-14, and the other two somewhere in weeks 4-10.

There is no avoiding hitting a bye week currently (4-12), so this schedule results in playing each division opponent once with no byes and once with. (I originally set it up this way in part because I didn’t care for week 1 being divisional - it’s a bit more of a crapshoot - but if the league goes back to 4-11 byes I would be fine with remaking the schedule.)

I don’t remember what our last ruling on draft pick swaps was. If we’re going to allow actually swapping the slots, we need to be doing the draft lottery earlier to allow time for deals and getting them in the system, so that part is not happening this year, with two days left.

I personally don’t have a problem with agreeing to a pick swap via trade after the draft concludes - the issue there is slowing down the draft and enforcement. Only swapping the first two or four rounds might be ok for the first but it does have the issue of one of the players telling the other who to draft and then backing out of the deal based on how the rest of the draft goes. And as with above, if we are allowing it I would prefer to have more time to reach deals.

Maybe next year we'll just do the lottery earlier, and rather than determining picks it will determine an order for claiming picks. No need for trading that way.

It (should) eliminate the want for agreeing on a trade for slots, pre-draft - anyone who picked their slot above me already chose their slot over the slot I have. But yeah, it's as much about maximizing happiness - picking a slot tenth, I might end up with my seventh or eighth choice just because the people above me have different preferences.

My team is a disaster. I'm about ready to give up on snake drafting, my auction team is always better (even with the inevitable injury to my top running back).

Since I said this, I've lost two straight in auction and am likely winning two straight here. Not that my team is really any better. My average over 7 weeks is a measly 83.7 and I'm projected to score 84.9 this week.

L1 only relegated 3 last year because of the 10 team L2 coupled with the 5 team (+dupes) L3. It's been a while since it mattered, but a 12-team L2 4th has always been ahead of L1 9th. (It happens that this year L2 doesn't have any particularly weak playoff teams.)

Somehow I have backed into a consolation bracket spot, with the highest score in the league the last two weeks. If only my team hadn't been such a disaster the rest of the year... (Or if division record was all that mattered for winning the division!)
