to be fair, outside of Indy, the AFC South was a dumpster fire of QB 'talent'In post 22, PJ. wrote:Fun Stat: Between the years 2012-2015. Only 4 times did a non-Houston AFC South QB play all 16 games. 3 were Andrew Luck, 1 was Bortles. Of the 10 starting quarterbacks for those 3 teams during those 4 years, 6 of them are retired(2 more very possibly on the way).
Jacksonville: Blaine Gabbert and Chad Henne
Tennessee: Jake Locker, Matt Hasselbeck, Ryan Fitzpatrick, Zach Mettenberger, Charlie Whitehurst, Marcus Mariota
i don't know how much injuries contributed to them not starting a whole season- shaft.ed

The Dallas v Philly head to headIn post 56, Kmd4390 wrote:I think Dallas can scrape together another win or two and that will probably be enough to take the division barring a loss to the Eagles.shoulddecide the division, barring Philly dropping games to NYG or Washington, given Dallas will have the head to head tiebreaker- shaft.ed

People said the same thing about the Cardinals
Spoiler:
Say the Iggles do make the playoffs and DJax is cleared to play. They might make a run.
I mean the Iggles almost had Josh McCown playing wide receiver on Monday. Their group right now is 2 practice squad guys and a rookie.
They're hoping Nelson "I dropped two games with my own hands" Alligator gets healthy, that's how desperate they are for a receiver right now.
On the other hand they have a terrible secondary, so it probably doesn't matter either way.- shaft.ed

Breaking down wild card participation in the NFC (which I hope you would accept as indicating the strength of each division)
From 2002-2008 (current conference alignment starts in 2002)
North-1
South-3
East-8
West-2
Note in this time East took up both wild card slots in back to back years. Also note that the West wasn't really an outlier
From 2009-2018
North-7
South-4
East-4
West-5
Much more evenly distributed
If we look at Superbowls
02-08
North-1/1
South-1/2
East-1/2
West-0/2
09-18
North-1/1
South-1/3
East-2/2
West-1/5
I guess the take home from this is that the West has been better at getting to and losing Superbowls than any other NFC division- shaft.ed

and the worst the winner of NFC East will be is 8-8, we aren't as talented as the Seahawks
mathematically worst possibility is 6-9-1 since Dallas and Philly play eachother and are both currently 6-7Last edited by shaft.ed on Fri Dec 13, 2019 8:01 am, edited 1 time in total.- shaft.ed

well if they can get the 6 starters that were injured over the last two weeks back and DeSean, and not Darby
they might have a chance
what is it now, 6 of 11 skill players off the practice squad or worse at this point? Two of the non-practice squaders are rookies, one of which left SUnday with an ankle injury and the other didn't catch a pass from Wentz until like week 20
2 OL over the last two weeks- shaft.ed
