The new launcher looks cool. Seeing how well the pack loads and plays on sp.

The DDSS pack loads and runs for me. It uses almost 8GB of working set but I have 10 so it works out for me. No overheats, crossing fingers.
When running client only it might be less, we'll see.

I think at least one of the older servers will need to be wiped to use for this one.

Horizons, sp8, and direwolf20 are also likely good candidates to wipe. In fact the sp8 is probably the least likely to be needed by anyone.
Even making the list is just my usual abundance of caution. All of them but sky odyssey and stoneblock are more than a year old iirc.

oh i thought that was the one i threw together and it never worked. ok whichever. if you want i can store whatever wherever - i have lots of cloud and external storage space basically just for minecraft lol

D&D&SS is available on akliz, which makes the setup pretty trivial. We could even try our luck with whatever spawns, if it's not too horrible.
If it's on top of a fire dragon's lair, then perhaps not.

I don't remember offhand what version I have installed, I'm at work rn. It was whatever the twitch launcher gave as the default. The latest on Akliz is 5.6a (assuming a is a minor version and not the alpha of 5.6). I can't check because strangely enough curseforge is seen by work as a gaming site and intercepted, but ms and akliz are not. (shh, don't tell anyone)

If you want to save anything that would be cool. I'm not personally hung up on any of it btw, it's others I'm more concerned with.

I downloaded 5.6a from twitch so i say we go with that one. when i get home later i'll download and pack some of the worlds with the mods/configs and everything so if anyone wants one we'll have it to give.

We did have discord on one of the recent servers and it's not hard to add. Most people stopped using irc so i'm not sure if the channel is still registered. Easy enough to claim. Don't think both discord and irc, so choose one.

The MS Magic server is the one with discord, so keep that one around to copy from.
The mod is called DiscordChat and we can grab the config from MS Magic.
It should be server side only, and we'll use the most recent version along with info from the config.

/config/ShadowFacts/DiscordChat is the directory.

The last server was inside the ms discord, but separate from the general chat.

After playing SSP for a while I think I want to turn off the setting that lets mobs aggro each other during blood moon.
The creeper explosions are chewing up the surface outside my base pretty badly.

Turns out the plan you have allows 12 servers, which means another can be installed. Still should delete some of the old unused ones, but I don't have to wait.

I'm starting it up using DDSS version 5.6a and smoke testing. Needs white list, ops list, safe spawn area etc before it will be ready to use.

A bunch of us had 5.6a installed already, and 5.7b was too new to be on the hosting company's list.

Since ETL seems to have gotten busy again and a couple people have asked, here goes. She can do a fancy official thing later .

There is a message board outside the spawn hut, but I'll put a few things here too.

During blood moons, there is general mayhem on the surface and the creeper explosions are fast and furious. Use the FTB utility to claim your base, or suffer the land acne accordingly.

The entire pack is heavily modified and tweaked, given that it is a quest progression pack. All the way from logs give only 2 planks and planks only 2 sticks (use a saw to get the normal amounts) up to many important things taking a 5x5 grid and way more resources than normal. JEI is your friend, check the recipes and use the quest book!!

A couple things that I noticed in Tinker's are kinda annoying but not unexpected given the pack's progression philosophy. You can't make obsidian in a smeltery, it just fills with water and lava and is then a pain in the @$$ to empty. And sharpening stones do not upgrade a pick's mining level, you can only use them to sharpen/repair the pick you have.

There is probably more, I've only been playing it a few days. Time to mine (a lot) and craft (a lot)!
