Was that generic copy pasta that applies to every single mafia game out there?
Or does it have a practical application to THIS GAME in particular?

That's the conundrum.

We either don't lynch, and then have to wait to see what happens at end of day (if anything) and after night 1. Chances are scum will take some of us out, especially ones they feel may be more vocal.

Or we bandwagon lynch and find out if we screwed up or not, but at least go into the night with (hopefully) more information than we started with.

Either way, we risk loosing town early. It should come down to where, as a whole, do we find more beneficial for the town.

Well, obviously you have greater wisdom than the rest of us. Care to enlighten your suggestion/thought process?

Challenging site meta.
I dig it

My opinion is that
-potentially mislynching an unproductive/unreliable/annoying/
hydra
/lurking or Lylo liabilities
-getting a lynch to see associations and for the information
-lynching... you know... scum

is better than the No Lynch you're proposing.
Plus I doubt you'd get the consensus necessary considering how bloodthirsty this player base is.

No lynch is almost always stupid.
Much less info is gathered from nightkills than lynches. And i wouldn’t rely on any power roles, for starters we don’t even know what roles we have and what they can do.

Never said I fully advocate a no lynch, just relaying what we all know, that it is an option.

At the end of the day (no pun intended) we don't have enough to go on.

Honestly, I have nothing more productive to add other than continuing to rehash basic game logic we're all aware of. As we sit, I know what role I was given, and do not know anyone else's. So anything I could share would be completely hypothetical.

So enough about mafia theory-crafting and optimal D1 play discussion and all that good stuff.
Can we get a few reads or comments on interactions on the players so far?

Honestly, I have a lot of catching up to do since I was out of town. Since I openly admit I was not here to continue to either build heat to get info or follow up, I'll UNVOTE: Vorkuta.

I like Ben here. Obviously don't agree with what he's proposing, and what he's talking about isn't particularly helpful, but his thoughts seem genuine and natural, and come from a townie's perspective.

@Ben: Was no-lynching something you did often 12 years ago? And some reads would be real nice when you've got time to catch up.

I am uneasy with Phoenix and Beta Sapphire with a raging passion. Everyone else is alright.

Ben has 80 posts on his account, 15 of which are this game. He didn't do anything often 12 years ago.

I don't get a genuine or natural feel either.

I've played mainly in other forums with different groups of fantasy wrestling buddies of mine. I think I've only seen a no lynch actually happen once the entire time I've played. It's always a possibility, but also a huge risk.
