Some of my RL friends expressed interest in playing mafia, so I invited them.

What is an "RL friend"? I've seen "RL" used as an abbreviation for "Real Life" but that meaning doesn't seem to fit in this context. Are they friends you met from a RogueLike game forum? If so emphasize that they can win even if they die in mafia, that will be pretty different.
It is definitely OK for them to play with us even if they are "RL" friends and not mafia friends, hito is my ANR friend but I would still let him play in a game I was modding.

However, pre-in JunkoChan apparently siteflaked from her last games, so I may drop her pre-in if she doesn't respond with enthusiasm and promptness. ~24 hours.

You can't /in for a game that the list mod hasn't put into signups. Temporal lich's Gpick and jjh's UPick are the games in signups right now. Mods can take pre-ins up to half the size of the game but you submit those by PM to keep the queue threads cleaner. I won't treat premature /ins in queue threads as pre-ins
