Samus's dialogue is written pretty maturely in Metroid Fusion and implies she's a bit older in a few ways. That's not the most widely played title but it's still cannon. Freudian slip misspelling that I should not correct.

Did one of the past games include a Samus?

There's flashbacks to her childhood I think? And she's ~17 when she's with the Federation according to google, which would make her an adult at least when Prime happens.

I don't remember any flashbacks to Samus's childhood in Fusion, and the game centers entirely around an isolated and very recent tragic event and her relationship with a commanding officer so I doubt there's any that I forgot.

According to Wikipedia Fusion is chronologically last so it makes sense that samus acts mature in that game. She never leaves her suit in that game maybe she even has wrinkles who knows.

In all the Metroid games besides Fusion you get some look at Samus without her suit on, whether it is a secret at the end or a cutscene or in the case of Super Metroid the game over animation, and she appears to probably be in her 20s. Fyi the reason Samus doesn't leave her suit in Fusion is because the suit becomes part of her body in that game.
