This was an exceptional circumstance, but yes, the spirit of the rules is generally that once a clue is given, it's final. No further requests to change the clue will be granted this round.

At this point I feel like I have poorly handled the situation about Pine's clue, and I'm not sure what solution would be satisfactory to both teams other than start over with a new grid. If a majority on both teams agree, I'll make a new grid with the teams remaining as they are (down to keeping their spymasters); if enough objections happen to prevent that, the game will continue in its current state. Votes must be public.

Yeah, AIR and TRAIN I agree on. I have the opposite preference from Farren's order, but I don't mind using his order, too. Of the stretches proposed so far, I'm most in favor of HOTEL, though I swear the amount of money you're charged for a stay has a different term. If we were looking for any "fair" words, I'd expect Not_Mafia to use that spelling and not make us rely on homophones, but if he does expect us to consider homophones, then STATE comes to mind. Not hot on anything else right now, unfortunately

Farren has the basic idea of the difference between a scalar and a vector. Scalars have just a magnitude; vectors also have a direction.

I agree with TIME and to lesser extent FIELD. I don't think N_M expects us to stretch as hard as to guess PART if we're this close to winning, though—let's try not to overthink this too much.
