Jesus I was just about to let off the pressure, and Chemist scumposts again
Lay off Elsa. I get what he was trying to do. It’s kind of dumb, but it looks Towny. There’s probably cult in the push on Elsa, but my lunch ends in 3 minutes
The 2nd micro isn't linked correctly in my wiki or I'd have that one up as well.
The general synopsis of cult in micros is to look TOWN AS FUCK so that they don't get lynched. Now,
my micros
are only different in the sense that cult leader starts 100% alone and doesn't speak among its members (because there's no cap to real cult [sorry not sorry mod] so daytalk would potentially make them too powerful a force). Eliminating that, though, and you have a very small sample of what your average player does when given the role to simply grow and survive.
What is Light and L doing? 71 - Offering advice in regards to my silly push on Elsa Jay and the grandstanding EJ did with DD. 161 - Pushing discussion to go the way of "find scum" over "find the cult leader" (which I've already outlined is bad)
all six or seven posts defending the chemist wagon - it's easy af to just come in and white knight the policy lynch to look town
the domino theory - it places them at the lead of town and allows them to take charge and "sort" their three dominoes while leading town wherever they want
This is all well-orchestrated attempts at looking AS TOWN AS POSSIBLE while setting themselves up to lead us down the path.
Not only no, but FUCK no.
Lynch Light and L. They're the cult leader.
@pine
Yeah I don't buy this shit at-fucking-all, and there's probably scum on the wagon. Starting with Chemist (still).

oh my god
I’m not even on the wagon
Ummmmmmmmm.
Okay, that's valid. Maybe I should actually read the game.

If L&L flips town, I could see one of the three others on the wagon as scum (chk/Elsa/ceejay). Looking like it could be ceejay.
I don't see why scum would want to bus on D1 in this game, so I'd likely give towncred to all currently on the wagon. If L&L is cult leader, the whole wagon is locktown imo.

Whoa hey, get a load of this guys WIFOM

Why hello again, old friend.
The discrediting begins... Ruby 2.0.
You’re misusing the term. Calling you scummy is not discrediting.
Implying I have an irrational or personal vendetta against you, however, IS.
Ah fuck it. I’ll explain why it’s a stupid question.
Being Town is about being Town. Town is effortlessly Town, and always has the Town’s wincon in their mind.
Scum have to juggle two wincons. The one they’re pretending to have, and the one they actually have.
Being good at scumhunting isn’t about giving weight to all the times scum pretends correctly. It’s about spotting when they break character. An actor who remembers 95% of their lines is a shit actor.
So in other words, fuck your ISO. It’s irrelevant.
You can't "vanity vote" when there's only one wagon, and I don't agree with it. You're effectively saying "Why aren't you voting the way I am trying to subtly pressure you into voting?"
The Townies in this game need to stop being scummy.
And I say “the Townies” because there are far too many people being super scummy for them all to be scum. Chkflip, EP, and Chemist would all be the obvscum of another game right now
In post 129, gameplay506 wrote:Look if Elsa really is the UT there is practically even less reason for the other UT to not claim.
Having a 1/5 chance of culting the UT is not so good and as I said if the UT belongs to a scummy player it is going to be even more useless. And I don't want to deal with cult fakeclaiming UT next days since they basically lose nothing out of it and can create some pretty wifomy situations.
So since Elsa is already out(if she really is an UT) its best to just have 2 ICs THAT BASICALLY STAY HERE UNTIL THE END OF THE GAME. A micro with 2 ICs that basically last forever seems bonkers imo.
In post 130, gameplay506 wrote:Also as far as I understand the setup we either lynch the cult leader or lose.
Thus I think that D1 is going to be the most important one with no cultings having yet happened. I think a good idea would be making a lynchpool of the scummiest players from D1 and sticking to it until the cult leader dies and then we can proceed with killing off the rest of the cult. Having 2 confirmed townies is really going to help with narrowing down that lynchpool too ( that's why I also think the UTs should claim).
Idk this game is pretty scumsided so we either make a plan to win or we lose. What am I proposing seems reasonable imo but lets discuss and flesh that idea out, shall we?
And as I said I think emphasis should be put on Day 1 so I want more posting today. Give me 25+ pages I dare you!
I’m leaning Karnage. He hasn’t posted yet, but his predecessor’s ISO is suspect. The above quotes in particular. Gameplay pushed obvTown Elsa right away after the UT claim, mostly discussed setup, encouraged the nonsense UT-claiming strategy, and had rather little substance other than that.
I’ll wait until everyone checks in, in case someone has a PR result that can wrap this up, and then I’ll want to push this angle.
Are you kidding me? It was never a serious claim. It said so right in the claim.
I may be over-remembering Elsa making the gambit explicit, but I just looked at his ISO and it’s implied multiple places, which I will quote when I’m at a computer rather than phone.
Further, Cult Leader Elsa has a rolecop partner, which means he KNOWS we’re in column B, and therefore never puts himself in this position.
It’s really only relevant after we get the leader. Even then, if we can minimize recruitments, we can win this mathematically.
Assuming we kill the CL today, it becomes a 6:1 game with no factional kill. We have five shots to get them. Essentially, we find one Townie and hang the rest. I’m assuming Elsa is Town, so there you are.
In post 10, Elsa Jay wrote:I'm gonna temporarily claim Unrecruitable townie and be On my way, claim subject to be permanized or change.
I don’t think an actual UT plays this game

Teasing that it’s a reaction test

In post 113, Elsa Jay wrote:I do, but it seems unlikely I'd use it if I'm actually a UT and I'd stand my ground.
These three in particular treat the claim as a disposable gambit to gauge reactions. He’d come right out with it by this point if he were actually a UT
In post 97, Elsa Jay wrote:It's not supposed to. I'm also still under the assumption that 2 people ignore my claim and want to lynch me +there's 2 cult RN.
This is the sequence that really clinched it as a gambit and - oh wait, it’s your predecessor who’s trying to attack the UT claim, almost as if he knows for sure it’s fake. An EJ plays it to draw out overextending scum.
This is the “page 3” (it was page 4, my bad) sequence I was referring to, and it’s fucking damning.
In post 442, Elsa Jay wrote:Pine isn't Cult Leader, he didn't visit anyone last night.
I'm Tracker and get your votes off of him.
In post 492, Elsa Jay wrote:So they recruited what was more likely to be a lying VT then a lying PR?
Now you just want to lynch the Tracker AND their semi-Inno result.
You claimed PR with zero votes on you for a "semi-inno result" that was at L-3. Yeah, no townie does that. The only reasoning that makes a lick of sense is that you are trying to protect your cult leader
You even said "get your votes off of him". That is just the cutest fucking thing

Overall I liked gameplay's day 1 posts so if you want to associate me with those I'm ok with that.
Did you know EJ was a PR based off their gambit or just that they weren't UT?
In post 504, chkflip wrote:I don't believe Karnage is the cult leader. He's making too much noise. I believe his lurk slot was the go-to easy cult that, given the choices that scum had against them, wouldn't be potentially protected.

Anywho, Chkflip......I am curious about your case on Espresso. You said you didn't have time to make the case, but it is still early in the day. I have had a solid town read on Espresso but I am all ears.
Yeah, it's been sluggish all day, sometimes to the point of non-functionality. The problem appears to be resolved now.
