This is probably a reference to the new system musical artists have adopted for keeping stoners out of their concerts: "the Triangle Gate". For those artists that believe drugs dampen the enjoyment of a musical performance rather than truly enhancing it, they find it depressing to pour their soul into their work and realize so much of their audience is baked out of their minds. So at these new gates to the venue positioned AFTER payment, each individual attendee is given a live street test from the artist's staff on their own musical ability and musical appreciation. They are required to bring their own musical instrument, any musical instrument. Of course, a triangle is an affordable and easily understood instrument, so it is a very popular choice among concertgoers looking to minimize the risk that they totally lose the value of their ticket by failing this test (the jury is very much out on whether the sober fans are passing it more reliably). The tester asks the attendee to perform using their chosen instrument, and also plays five melodies with some pre-selected, pre-tuned triangles, challenging the attendee to recognize which triangle is out of tune or not worthy of true musical appreciation. Once the staff member is satisfied the attendee "gated in", to call it by the slang term, and the last thing the attendee will do before turning off their phone to respect the artist is post an excited tweet about their success to their friends, sometimes accompanied by a brag about how far from sober they were at the time of the test.
