Stolen from skitzer, who probably took them from someone else.

1.) This game will start in nightime, please confirms via pm.
2.) During the day you can vote for a player that you think should be lynched. Votes must be bolded otherwise they won't be counted. It would be helpful if players unvote when switching their votes.
3.) When a player reaches a majority of votes, they are lynched. I will reveal their role, and the game will move into night. All players can still talk during twilight.
4.) No talking to other players, dead or alive, outside of the thread, unless your role permits it.
5.) Once dead, you stop posting. An unrevealing bah post is fine.
6.) If you have any questions feel free to throw me a PM.

7.) There will be fixed deadlines of 4 weeks while there are more then 12 players left alive and 3 weeks for 12 and under. I will grant one deadline extension of a week if the majority of players request it.

8.) Try to post at least once every 48 hours. If you don't post for 72 a prod may be requested. 3 prods and you will be replaced. If you plan on being absent let others know (withing the thread or by PM to me).
9.) If discussion drops I will set a deadline. This may be retractable depending on how the pace picks up and how I'm feeling.
10.) I'll try to post votecounts as often as possible. Feel free to ask for a votecount at any time.
11.) Avoid excessive profanity, flaming etc. I'm not averse to swearing but others may be so treat them with respect.
12.) Do not quote or fakequote your role PM. This is a modkillable offence.
13.) This is my first game as a mod. If I make a mistake let me know by PM.
14.) If these rules do not cover something I reserve the right to make any other decision as need be.

"Murder, Murder"

The cries wake you from your fitful slumber. As you run out of your house you notice a maimed body in the street. Coming closer you can just identify that it is killa seven, an innocent civilian, that has been stabbed to death.

This is not the only death though. Further down the street, the body of Cavebear with a Toothache lies on the ground in a puddle of his own blood. He has a brick protruding from his head.

Suddenly a gunshot rings through the crowd, running to a nearby alley you notice dcorbe holding his intestines as they fall from his body. He looks up to you and says "It was..." and collapses.

Shaken by this sudden amount of violence you are determined to do something about. How about lynching people to get rid of these dastardly murderers.

As the day comes to a close the town decides that BlakAdder must be mafia. As he is dragged to the scaffold to be hanged he protests that he is merely an innocent townie. Not listening to him the town strings him up and hangs him until dead.

I have decided in the interests of keeping the days running smoothly I will be imposing fixed deadlines from tomorrow onwards.

While there are more than 12 players the deadlines will be 4 weeks. When it gets to 12 players the deadline will be three weeks. I will allow one deadline extension of a week if a majority of players request it and I may give an extension to allow a replacement to catch up.

The morning dawns and you awaken, hoping to find a more peaceful town.

This hope is shattered when you find the body of Lowell shot straight through the head. He was a regular townie.

Venturing out a little further you recoil in horror when you see not one but two bodies lying next to each other. Evidently the local serial killer Sun Tzu decided that iamusername looked like someone who was easy prey. Having stabbed him in the back iamusername turned around and clobbered Sun Tzu in the head with a leadpipe. It seems he was neither easy prey, nor innocent. iamusername was mafia.

A scream echos through the street and you follow it to it's source where you find the body of armix, blood spewing out of his back.

He leans over and says "I don't understand, I was just a regular citizen. Why would someone kill me." Blood spatters your jeans as he coughs for the last time.

As everyone goes to bed in the town, there is a general hope that there can finally be a night of peace and calm. The night progresses and the town sleeps, only to be awoken by another gunshot.

Running out to the street you find the local constable, silence, lying on the ground, shot between the eyes. As the town mourns this unfortunate death a scream comes from down the street. Running in that direction you find a lady standing over a dumpster with a leg hanging out of it. Looking inside you see the body of a local mason, Toaster Strudel. She appears to have been walking home from a masonic meeting when she was beaten until her brains flowed from her head.

The town really needs to do something about these deaths, it is becoming an epidemic.

BANG!!!... The shot rings through the night. It just doesn't end does it. By this stage death in the town is so old news that everyone just waits until morning to find out what happened. Walking outside you see the body of skitzer lying on the ground. Looking closer you see that he's actually been beaten to death, with no sign of being shot at all. His wallet falls out and you see his masons license.

The town searches everywhere to find another body when eventually they find forbiddanlight lying on the ground, shot through the temple. She was a regular town member just going about his nightly shopping.

You wake up in the morning and realising that again the night has been filled with bloodshed. The body of the town doctor, Korts, was found lying in the main street with most of his head intact. Lying next to him is the body of one of societies lowlife, farside22 found shot through the stomach. She was a goon.

The day passes with little interest, with no one deciding that a lynch was appropriate.

The next night Strangercoug, the towns vigilante, and The Fonz, the Godfather in the mafia kill eachother in a stand off in town central.

Now that everyone else is dead you can finally get some rest.

The game ends with a draw between the mafia and the town.
