I’ll go back and respond to you properly when I’m not on my phone, but the crux of my issue is a lack of humility. Like when people vote you or suggest you’re bad you just straight OMGUS. That makes you deeply lack value as town (because your reads lack nuance or good logic) but also makes you hard to read as scum because it’s a scummy behaviour that you do as town.

This game there are currently people who are worse than you (see: duck) but it also means that you’re always going to be a good policy lynch because having you in the game doesn’t bring a lot of value to town and it’s hard to tell if you’re actually scum or just scummy

Then when you get feedback, instead of accepting it or considering it like “hmm, maybe my reads aren’t great/maybe there’s a reason I’m getting called bad” you just lash out or make AtE self-pity jokes.


Like if you’re finding that a lot of people vote you as a scapegoat maybe acknowledge there’s something about your play that makes that happen and work on fixing it.

man that's unnecessarily harsh. some people (me) just like playing the game and are not too at it., and there's nothing wrong about feeling frustrated at always getting scumread. you eventually learn to play your style via gut, which involves understanding which players are scum-reading you on good faith attempts, who is trying to pocket you etc., and that has its own set of values. Because if you do roll town, then you are a rod, and more likely its scum trying to manipulate the gamestate by mislynching you.

Your suspect pool includes Egix/NSG/Emps. The group consensus contains 2.5 of those according to you. I don't see how being concerned about you being unconcerned about that is fishing.

This kind of downplaying of the worst's ability as scum seems strange to me. Granted, off of the top of my head I can't say that I have hard evidence to indicate that bingle is directly contradicting any of his previously stated views regarding the worst's ability, but my general impression was that most people on the site would consider him in the upper echelon of scum players. I believe it stands to reason, then, that what he's doing here serves some sort of larger purpose, and this is where I begin to see your point that they may have partner equity. It's perhaps an obvious (generic, even) conclusion to come to that by designating the worst as a "lower priority" scum target, he may excusably be kept alive until later days while other targets are lynched.

And, indeed, strangely enough just a few posts later in his ISO we see not only a divergence from the worst, but also from his previously stated second highest scumread:

I guess my issue with the posts from teacher isn't so much the inaccuracy of what he's saying as the excessive pedantry. Technically, his grammatical parsing of what was said is correct, but it's also meaningless as it sidesteps addressing the message.

Roughly this, but pretty much everyone and their mother was saying teacher was scummy beforehand and I've never gotten an answer as to why.

To be clear, if my understanding of this post is correct, Bingle is quoting his previously stated reason for teacher being scum while simultaneously calling into question other people's reasons. That's obviously a biased way of phrasing it but I don't think it's entirely inaccurate.

So we're at a point where Bingle is somewhat indirectly downplaying the scumminess of some of his top scumreads. Immediately after this, he says that he "could be convinced" on A50 scum and then, without much convincing (by my reading), he joins the wagon alongside his previous second highest scumread while also expressing reservations about lynching the worst.

Let me walk through with you my thought process to try to convince you that I'm town and you should vote a50.

I looked at the EoD wagon on Not-Bingle. There were 2 that flipped already, Melanque, Norwegian, Wicked, and teacher. Because of the nsg flip, I'm tending to believe teacher is town and his doctor claim is truthful, and I think wicked and melanque is pretty townie as well. I think there's 1 scum off the wagon, which makes it seem like it is norge.

On the wagon "skitter30, Egix96, DrDolittle, Volpe14, Almost50, Wooper, pisskop", it could be wooper, but that wouldn't warrant a nsg kill cause he is already pretty heavy sus'd, so it would require someone that she was mildly suspicious of, that that person has fear into developing a full on scum read. It could be egix, but that means these two are strong townreads of NSG (like unwavering from yesterday). Even if she was paragon, if she were wrong on all her scum reads, her paragon weight will help these players stay alive.

Yet there must be a reason she was off'd still. So I look continue on the Bingle wagon to see who are the potential scummates. Two jumped out, you and A50. You two as scum have the most to gain from NSG dying because Nibs youre a universal town read and only really looked at by her, and a50 because a50 is scummy, but seems to be sliding in the cracks.

That's why I said mild scummy equity - its not a read-read, but purely a nk-speculation read.
