Town Strong-Willed Dreaming God 2: The Return of Dreaming God


Each night, you must choose one of these abilities to use. This action can't be blocked, redirected or interfered with in any way:

Connections
Dreams
Flavor
Knowledge
Lockout
Pressure
Stasis
Vision

You may choose each ability only once, and will not know what the ability does until you use it.

Mod Note: Remove "2: The Return of Dreaming God" from the role PM.

The Strong-Willed Dreaming God's abilities are (feel free to randomize each ability from all Strong-Willed Dreaming God abilities of the same name if you want, this applies to other iterations of the Dreaming God as well):

Connections - For every 4 alive players in the game plus one (resolves before any kills), make that many players Lovers with a Lover PT. (e.g. 12-15 players = 4 lovers)
Dreams - The moderator will post what they dreamed the last real life night (this resolves when the Night phase ends).
Flavor - Two random players will be given a Moonlight Modposter invention, allowing them to have the moderator post a message of any length inthread at any time.
Knowledge - Two random town power roles in the votecount the next Day are colored green.
Lockout - The largest scumteam loses access to their PT entirely, and must submit factional kills via PM (the last submission will be resolved).
Pressure - The elimination threshold the next Day is reduced by 2, unless it is MeLo or ELo.
Stasis - One random town-aligned player will be vanillized.
Vision - You will get an invention of a random player's role (made Activated if it is a passive role. If it is a invention from a role with no special abilities, using it does nothing at all.). You will be told what player had the role that gave your invention.

Town Guaranteed Near-Parity


The setup is guaranteed to contain a number of town and non-town alignments depending on if the setup is odds or evens.

If there is an odd amount of players, the number of non-town roles is half the number of players rounded down, and the number of town roles is that number plus one (e.g. 9p with this role is 5 town and 4 non-town)

If there is an even amount of players, the town and non-town split is 50/50 (e.g. 12p with this role is 6 town and 6 non-town)

Mod Notes: This role tends to resolve last and involves forcibly changing alignments of players in the faction(s) with excess people.

The setup is guaranteed to contain a number of size 2 scumteams with a factional kill bottoming out at giving Town a majority. The rest of the players are Town-aligned, no third-parties may exist.

Mod Notes: This role tends to resolve last and involves forcibly changing alignments of players in the faction(s) with excess people.

The scumteams you'd use if this role was rolled:

Up to 8p - Mafia
9-12p - Mafia and Werewolf
13-16p - Mafia and Werewolf and Alternate Mafia
17-20p - Mafia and Werewolf and Alternate Mafia and Pirate
21-24p - Mafia and Werewolf and Alternate Mafia and Pirate and Replicant
25p-28p - Mafia and Werewolf and Alternate Mafia and Pirate and Replicant and... I don't think there is another standard scumteam in GIM (nor should you add one!)

Each night, you may learn the role of a player.

If your target has anything suggesting that they're a supernatural being in their full role card (e.g. Werewolf, Demon, God, Archangel, Spirit, Vampire, Shadow), you will unavoidably kill them.

Groupscum who aren't Doctors or Traitors have guns, as well as these roles: Cop-likes, anything with "Cop" in the name, Neapolitan, Gunsmith, Detective, Vigilante, Paranoid Gun Owner, Vengeful, JOATs with one of these powers, Inventors with one of these powers, anyone holding an invention with one of these powers.

Mod Note: This is a Grand Idea adaptation of a Normal role to account for a few non-normal roles that should logically have guns.

Dark Angel


Everyone is notified there is a Dark Angel in the game. This happens regardless of whether Dark Angel is an alignment or a role.

While you are still alive, there is a Noble election in the game. Noble election is by plurality vote and is decided when the elimination is decided. This happens regardless of whether Dark Angel is an alignment or a role.

An elected noble is announced to have an extra elimination vote, which counts for elimination majority. They are also bulletproof for the night.

Each scumteam may appoint a hidden noble during the night as a factional action (this can be the same person doing the factional nightkill regardless of multitasking) each time a factional nightkill is used. This happens regardless of whether Dark Angel is an alignment or a role.

A hidden noble has an extra elimination vote, which doesn't count for elimination majority. A hidden noble knows they are a hidden noble, but hidden nobility is not public.

The Dark Angel instantly loses if they are made a noble. The Dark Angel wins if the game ends before this happens or the Dark Angel dies.

Mod Note: For situations where alignment and role needs to be decoupled:

A nobility vote and hidden nobility factional action, and the public notification happens regardless of whether Dark Angel is an alignment or a role.

The Dark Angel alignment loses if they are made a noble, and wins if they die or the game ends before that happens.

The Dark Angel role grants the actual effects of nobility.



In case there are multiple Dark Angels, the nobility ability does not stack.

After Day 2 (micro)/Day 3 (mini)/Day 4 (large) or when someone who isn't aligned with you posts the word "awaken" inthread, the moderator will post "The Evil has awakened!".

If you are awakened, you have these abilities:

You may perform more than one ability each night.

Corrupt - Each night, you may corrupt someone, changing their role to Evil Servant (which grants the Evil powers).
Evil Sight - You use an investigative power based on the number of Evil Servants in the game, regardless of whether they are dead or alive (0 - Seer, 1 - Bloodhound, 2 - Alignment Cop, 3 - Full Cop, 4+ - Universal Cop)
Sacrifice - Each night, you may sacrifice an Evil Servant. You cannot use Corrupt with this ability.

Each night, you must choose one of these abilities to use. This action can't be blocked, redirected or interfered with in any way:

You may choose each ability only once, and will not know what the ability does until you use it.

Mod Note: Remove "3: Revenge of the Dreaming God" from the role PM.

The Strong-Willed Dreaming God's abilities are (feel free to randomize each ability from all Strong-Willed Dreaming God abilities of the same name if you want, this applies to other iterations of the Dreaming God as well):

Connections - Soulbond two random players. They will be linked in one neighborhood, and all actions affecting one affect the other.
Dreams - Three random players get an invention with a random Strong-Willed Dreaming God ability.
Flavor - The moderator writes role flavor for three random players.
Knowledge - One random groupscum in the votecount is colored blue.
Lockout - No votes will be counted until a quarter of the deadline has passed the next Day.
Pressure - Half of the living players rounded down will be given a Dayvig shot that resolves at the end of the day. Only the first two shots will actually succeed.
Stasis - The next Night's deadline is quadrupled (multiplied by 4). Fast Night will be available for that night even if it isn't normally available.
Vision - The moderator will post "I'm dreaming of X" at the start of the next Day, where X is a rating from 0 to 10 of how bastard/absurd the moderator thinks the setup is.

Awakened Demon Cultist


While you are still alive, the Cult is a Demon Cult. The Demon Cult gains a Cult PT and knowledge of their members if this is not already the case.

Once in the game during night, the Demon Cult may sacrifice three of their members to summon a in one of the sacrificed player's slots (no force replacement is necessary). If this happens, the Demon Lord is aligned with the Cult/Demon Cult.

This role is immune to Korina's Cult Clause unless if this is the only cult role. In that case, you have a Awakened Demon Cult Leader.

Town Forgotten Deity


You have multitasking, you may perform more than one action each night.

You gain powers based on people saying words in the main thread. Variations of the word (e.g. "friends" or "friendly" for "friend") count.

"friend" - Neighborizer
"destroy" - 2-shot Vigilante
"lurk" - All of your abilities become Stealthy
"speak" - Messenger
"angel" - Factional Bulletproof (bulletproof to factional kills)
"slime" - Disloyal Roleblocker
"song" - 1-shot Publishing Role Cop (role cop that has the investigation result posted inthread)
"nonexistence" - Compulsive Quitter (you leave the game!)

You have a post restriction. You may not say any of these words inthread or you will permanently lose the chance to get that power.

It is kinda self-balancing though. The post restriction only ruins your
chance
to get that power (i.e. it won't void already earned powers) and "lurk" being a common Mafia term makes it easy for the Forgotten Deity to become a Ninja.
