I mean a user shouldn't have a title they don't like.
And it's only a matter of time before he was nominated for Smooth Criminal again if it wasn't just given back to him automatically.
I’m pretty sure there’s precedent for reverting someone to their previous title when they no longer like their current one. In a way they still have the old title so I don’t see it as asking for a title when it’s one they already accepted before.
I support the switch back because I don't think monthly event titles are real titles the way I don't think the Link CD games count as real Zelda games. I prefer when titles develop more organically than that. Which is the original spirit of the "don't ask for a title" rule that you're referencing, as it happens.

"What? Nothing? You would make the prince suffer over... nothing?"
if they meet the criteria i guess, for the first event anyone could just request a title that they'd get but at the end if it wasn't voted to be kept by everyone it'd go away (unless you're me)

You can also refuse them, just like normal titles.

I also don't feel strongly enough about that to oppose the switch.
Also, a user can always request their title be removed, FWIW.
The majority of permanent titles are given out in the monthly events now.

Most dangerous tree in the world. Even standing beneath it during rain will cause blistering on the skin. If you burn it, you get ocular injuries if the smoke reaches the eyes. And of course, the fruit it gives is potentially lethal. It's sweet at first, but then it fucks you up.
Wikipedia seems to say that the Manchineel is not a conifer
I will die on this hill
