I got my PM, said "oh hey, this will be fun when it starts" and then left it to chkflip to tell me when it started because I had nothing to do, no reason to engage with the game.

On the other hand, someone who gets a scum PM has a scum PT and is engaged with the game and waiting for it to start and thus noticed when the nonsense begins. Obviously plenty of people will see it in the Large Theme list and what not, but all equal, anyone who posted before chkflip deigned to tell us the game started gets a mild mark against them.

Shrug, how else would you have liked me to use my ability? I thought the outside shot that I got it would be an even exchange and it would give us info on who backed who for it when it was going to go out no matter what.

Info always seems like a good thing to me, and this was the best play I could make to get some early in the game when it would be more useful.

I’m using that as a talking point to understand why certain slots wanted to hand you the governor. I unvoted because I wanted to hold people accountable for the votes they made and figure them out.

I did. To be honest I didn’t find it that compelling but I took note of it. It’s probably a better lynch than Creature, though.

In my opinion, yes. You can ISO me. I think he slipped and spoke from a place of knowledge that BBmolla is town. Others didn’t see it the same way, and it’s certainly not bulletproof, but I have seen nothing more lynchworthy yet.

It was more these posts that bothered me than the initial “standard” post. But the whole idea behind it - I am “wrong” for calling bbmolla scummy because it is “standard” behavior? To say it’s not a tell is one thing, but that is NOT how he phrased it. That’s what he was going for, maybe, but that IS NOT what he said.

This is also the only thing he said or did that had any substance whatsoever, and it was just to join a wagon for a spam policy lynch.

He repeatedly has said we should elect a governor with no reasoning, and more importantly, no case for who he thinks we should elect! He token voted himself, with no effort, and then joined a mini wagon on flavorleaf with no reason simply because it had a little momentum. If he thought that we, as a town, should use the governor, he should want to have an influence on who the governor is and how it is used, but he clearly could not give a rat’s ass.

He has managed to stay active without commenting on ANY SINGLE THING of significance in the entire game.

He could just be a bad, uncaring player. I don’t know him. There are a lot of those in this game, but he’s the one that strikes me as scummy because his collection of posts seem calculated to stay under the radar.

I mean
for the first point, thats kind of just how Firebringer plays.
For the second point, thats assuming that a town!Firebringer is going to play optimally.

Like, what you are describing to me sounds like Firebringer.
You could go into his ego and look a recently completed game he was in, and probably see the same traits you're describing to me.

There are plenty of genuine lurkers/uninvested players in this game so far. He’s the only one that strikes me as someone who is actively avoiding all relevant content.

The Fonz has posted like 1 time or something, and likely hasn’t read much of the thread, but when he puts in his token effort, it’s not just hot air, it has meaning. Xofelf hasn’t said much of value but what she has said seems genuine. Creature has spammed constantly, but it’s null. There are many ways to play suboptimally that aren’t scummy. Of course, playing with someone many times helps you to sort out the trash from the recycling, but at the same time, I’m going to trust my own reads over all.
