"Make love, not war" was the philosophy in fair Verona, where we set our scene. Unfortunately, that philosophy gave the polygamist scum a massive tactical advantage in the ensuing battle. Finally, once the slaughter was virtually complete, 12 people remained in the flaming wreckage of the city that blazed as brightly as the sun. In the confusion, no-one can remember what the polygamist scum look like. So you'll have to try to work it out by lynching people until you get it right or you die trying...

Rules

5. The mafia and each lover pair may talk privately before Day 1 starts. I have set up Quicktopic threads for this purpose and included a link to it in your role PM. Once Day 1 begins you may not privately talk at all. Do not talk about this game outside the thread once Day begins. You must

   discuss the game with players who are alive after you have been killed.
   
6. Votes should be in bold, for example:

   . Votes that aren't in bold will not be counted. It’s not necessary to

   before revoting for someone else, but it makes my job easier. So please do so.
   
7. A lynch occurs once a simple majority is reached. Lynching occurs immediately and any unvotes after the hammer will be void. I will remind you how many votes are required for a lynch each time I do a vote count.
   At deadline the player with the most votes is lynched. If there is a tie, the person who received the most votes first will be lynched.
   
8. Once someone is lynched I will post the final vote count and the lynch scene. Then we'll go straight into the next Day.
   
9. No lynch is not an option in this game.
   
10. If I feel the game is deadlocked or dragging on I will set a deadline. If I set a deadline I will tell you when the deadline will expire. Lynches will take place at deadline as described above.
    Once set, a deadline will be adhered to strictly and will not be changed.
    
11. Be active. I will prod players on request if they have not posted in the thread for 48 hours or more. I will prod players on my own initiative if I notice you have not posted for 96 hours. Failure to post in the thread within 72 hours of receiving the prod will result in you being replaced.
    
12. Once you are lynched, stop posting. Don't even make a 'bah' post. If your lover is lynched, resist the temptation to post a Romeo and Juliet style 'bah' post.
    
13. This game has a zero tolerance policy with regard to personal attacks.
    
14. I reserve the right to add or modify rules as required.
    
15. Have fun. It's a game, yeah? Don't take it too seriously, but play to win.
