For the first time since 2011, the almighty Big Four have decided to set out on an even more massive tour. Metalheads around the world rejoice as the gods of thrash come together once again. We thought this time would never come. But the search for more money never ends. What could bring more monetary juiciness than a huge tour with four of the world’s biggest bands?

Through bribery and the holograph technology, we are able to have past members, alive or dead, along for the ride. Halfway through the tour, a huge fight breaks out across all band members. While we all know that Metallica is the most famous of the Big Four and the most popular metal band in the world, it is distasteful to bring this up when in the presence of the entire big four. After hours of insulting back and forth, we end up with obvious lines drawn in the group. It’s James and the boys of Metallica against the rest of the Big Four. They threaten to release terrible career-ending info to the press at the end of the tour, making them the last remaining group on the Big Four. Unfortunately, the band was able to rig the holographic system to disguise themselves between sets. It is up to the rest of the Big Four, members from Slayer, Anthrax, and most importantly, Megadeth, to figure out who Metallica is disguised as and take them out. Take No Prisoners, There is a Punishment Due for their arrogance.

I see Megadeth as obviously superior but I enjoy all four bands. Each have something to bring to the table. I mean, Metallica removed the bass from an entire album just to troll their new bassist. That's fucking funny.

flippyNips once asked me if there was a metal song called "Never Ever Land" and it took me a second until I realized he meant this song I was quite literally dying of laughter.

(if yurkin is telling the truth about having his vote count as two, would this increase the threshold?)

The threshold is for the amount of living players. If yurkin votes for someone at L-2, that's the lynch. I didn't at first, as to let them decide when they came out as double voter, but from now on (since it is public knowledge) if yurkin is not voting anyone, the amount of votes they have will be reflected in the not voting count.

So the intent is to remove the mystery? There'd be no way to hide being a double-voter until L-2 hammer. It's above my comprehension at this point.

Not going forward, no. I didn't reflect yurkin's double vote in the not-voting count until they made their first counted vote (they removed their first actual vote before I did a VC). It was a good will thing to let them decide when they were going to let everyone know. Now that they voted, and it is public knowledge that they are a public voter, the mystery is gone and it will show in each subsequent VC, as it has since. yurkin's vote counts as two no matter the situation.

[The Baker]

I love all kinds of music, but metal is my home. I just wanted to bring the fun of the Big Four nostalgia to a Mafia game. I personally hate getting stuck being VT, there's just nothing to do, so I wanted to make a game where no one would have that feeling...initially. I think I'm in the minority with that thinking, as I know many people enjoy being just a normie town. So role madness is a thing, but I really liked the mechanic of a vanillaizer when I saw it on the wiki. I thought it would be a nice excuse to make no one vanilla and throw in the possibility to become one. Having a vanillaizer just choose their person seemed too powerful and uninteresting. So the RNG part of the role came to me. I like the use of chance in games, it adds an element that no one can control. I made the vanillaizer Lars Ulrich since it made sense flavor wise. Lars gets shat upon for being not a very good drummer, or at least a pretty boring one. Exhibit A So I thought it would be funny if he couldn't control his power, like he can't control his drum sticks irl.

Of course, this was the main mechanic on which the setup was based. I then found other fun connections that only really made sense for those who understood the Big Four Flavor. David Ellefson being Super Saint because he became super religious, Dave Mustaine being a miller since he was in both Metallica and Megadeth, Dave Lombardo being a double voter because he is known as the Godfather of the Double Bass etc. I tried to make a game that I would enjoy being a part of.

Our problems arose with the incredible amount of replacements. I think our final total was 11! This really got me a bit flustered and brought the game to many stand-stills. If this hadn't happened I think we would have had a very different game.
This, along with the general apathy I felt from some players kept us from what I think is a really fun setup.

Now to talk about the 3p stuff. As you all saw I'm sure, Creature was a big fan of this role being in the game. I think a secret 3p or a public 3p work in different ways for different reasons. In this game, I didn't want the 3p to be known. The point of the flavor was for the Big Four to be so engrossed in their own shit to even know that there was something else happening around them. They were only a survivor, I would understand the spite surrounding a secret, killing 3p. But all they had to do was live. If you know me, you know I love a good 3p, if you don't, well now you do. I advertised as Baker-Level Bastard, which even if you don't know what that means, you should be able to deduce that probably some odd shit is gonna be occurring. This setup was very odd, but I tried to make it as fun as possible.

Now for where I call out my own shit.
I made a few mistakes, I truly am sorry about that. First, I wasn't present at times as much as I wish I was. I was much busier than I thought I was going to be, but that isn't really an excuse. As a mod I should always be present for game-related issues/occurrences, especially game ends and starts. Second, on a few occasions I answered questions that I probably shouldn't have answered. So many people had questions about the vannilazer mechanic, from both sides, so I wanted to make sure people got all the info I could give. In the end though, just answering them gave away too much. That wasn't fair to the whole game as I was technically giving more information to some players than others, I am sorry. This was my first big game, and I was super nervous throughout the whole thing which led me to make silly mistakes like this. I just wanted everyone to be happy.
Also, the scum team should not have gotten to know who they vanillaized/if it was successful. I realized this on D2 but felt that since I had already done it once, it would be unfair to change during the game. In hindsight this gave the scum team a lot more info, leading to a lot more power.

Anyway, I hope you all were able to derive some fun/happiness from this game throughout all of the replacements and mishaps. I just want to give people a place to play this awesome game that we all love, and put my own twist on it of course.

Finally, the matter of the Golden Baguette. As I don't have my materials for the award ceremony, since I am still out of town, I will announce this the day after I get back, which will be this Saturday the 4th. But I can say that it will most likely be going to a very special Canadian Thrasher.
