We'd eliminate a lot of possibilities and force scum's hand.

The setup hasn't been run before, so the arguments are more theoretical rather than practical.

I'm mostly concerned about scum hammering before the flip can be announced. Second, announcing at flips doesn't give us the hard mathmatical eliminations to hunt from. IN a purely optimal sense where town are presumed to have zero scumhunting skills, it's not optimal. I'm not playing mafia in that world though. I'm playing in a world where we play and more information means smarter choices and smarter wagons.

I read people by their associations to each other. By eliminating possible teams, I get a better grip on the game and VCA works better. It just gives a hard data approach to the game.

I see what you mean, Eddie. But on the other hand, the doc is someone scum have to kill sooner rather than later as it's really bad for an IC to be alive close to endgame. So while doc hunting, which is a 1/2 to a 1/4 for them depending on whether scum are in any of the outed hoods, they could make in-optimal kills if they read a neutral/scummy player as the doc. We shouldn't give them the easy route of killing doc tonight and then killing whoever they please (towniest towns probably) in future nights.

? I do VCA based on my experience and what commonly occurs. It's strong enough to where I have no interest voting EJ today. Is it lock clear? Nope. I rarely have that type of confidence and if I do, I won't shut up about it.

If you're interested, you can grab a sample of completed games and check the data. I have no problem with that. I just use common sense.

My VCA has been a tactic I use for most of my time on this site. It's something that people nag for if I don't do it by D3 and 1 scumflip because that's when it's most reliable.

I like the hood claims because it let's me check my work. If I come back with an impossible scumteam, I messed up.

I eyeballed it because I don't have the time to color all VCs (ideal). Then VCA becomes a matter of determining what scum want and what they are likely to do.

It can be combined with behavior as well. One common flaw is that I tend to suspect someone who is a townbeard aka agency captured (townie unwittingly working for scum). I suspect that's Nancy here but I am uncertain.
