titles are about celebrating the community, it's ok that for someone to not want to be a part of the community anymore, but I don't think it makes any sense at all to refer to a process someone took trying to forcibly leave the community in a title.

i don't have access to speakeasy posts, but i would give it an nth if Salamence's return (and the a spamming) was a positive thing for both Salamence and the community. no nth as i can't verify it myself, just my two cents.

Eh, honestly I don’t have a problem with rewarding civil disobedience. If he actually did request the ban and was turned down it seems like he did due diligence to try to resolve the issue within the rules and then resolved the issue the only way that was still available.

I also don’t really think it sets a bad precedent as the specific behavior it’s rewarding is not possible anymore.

The problem with 'ahhh, sala will do something noteworthy and get another title eventually' is that it will be compared with 'a', which is probably the most noteworthy thing in salamance's present and future mafiascum career considering its impact on site rules/his presence/etc..... so yeah no title will be better for him than 'a'

There is a case for it 'rewarding negative behavior' I guess, but like the above posts indicate it is a unique case that skirts the line with actual 'negative behavior' in the same way that, like, participating in protests is 'negative behavior'.

basically, it's a good title, and even if you want to classify his a-spam as 'negative behavior', this is less of a reward for it and more of a reference to an important event caused by his actions.

The spamming really wasn’t positive and I think people are forgetting why he requested the self-ban in the first place. His self-ban request was related to the Metal Sonic ban which coincided and was similar to the Nobody Special ban. I don’t think any titles should be made based on anything related to one of the site’s darkest points in history.

While I echo this sentiment, and think that pops is worthy of a title and can maybe kinda sorta possibly vaguely see why it's applicable to pops…

I'm basically in the same boat but pops' silver tongue is quite striking, imo. I'm gonna take some time to think about it and see if I can passionately case it (or an adjacent title)

This. Like, pops is convincing, sure, but that's like, the least special thing about her. Her work with opens, her friendliness, her self deprecating style... All of those are things that scream pops more than her ability to be convincing imo.

Silver tongue lends well to her eloquence too - she explains things well and afaict pretty regularly knows what to say. But yeah it's hard encaspulating pops in a couple of words.

"I changed my mind and think it fits pops" isn't a convincing enough argument to make me change my mind.
The question isn't if it fits pops--it's more is it something clearly connected to pops, AND, something not super-generic that is instead specific TO pops. Even if you think it passes one of those metrics (and it is currently my opinion it fails on both), it needs to pass both and I don't see it.
