I have modded over at other boards and I did a Dexter (Showtime drama) game that I liked, but would like to get tweaked by reviewers here before posting it here because diff. boards are diff.

I am also looking forward to hosting a Breaking Bad game, if interest is up.

These will have to wait awhile, though, because I just joined over here and want to get a couple of games under my belt to get a feel for the forum.

If you're interested in Dexter and/or Breaking Bad games, though, I'd like to hear. They'd be large theme.

I can't put my finger on it, but

I don't like Dichotomy AT ALL. You're doing at least half of the PR-hunting for the scum, and it actually increases the swing in a lot of ways (Oh, I'm sorry that the Cop claimed D2 and you hit the Townie instead of the Doc... you'll have to wait until Day 7 to kill the Doc now).

If you could work up a PR list that had absolutely zero synergy within it, AND could reliably rank them from least effective for town to most effective for town, then maybe.

Yeah, that is the problem with it: it means if you miss on getting the PR you have to wait a long time before getting another shot. If I did it, i might include a scum role that allows the scum to repeat the choice the next day or sometihng once in the game.

I think this is a good idea.

It sounds incredibly complicated and there would be a lot of kinks to work out.

I'd probably enjoy it a lot.

My initial questions: Why can people talk during the night?

How will people distinguish which game they are voting for a person in?

Would the games run on the same deadlines?

If a player dies in game A but is alive in game B, are they still allowed to post content for Game A?

Although I'm months and games away from theme modding, would anyone be interested in musical note mafia? Major vs minor, or sharps vs flats? With perhaps an atonal serial killer? With roles based around a song in that key.

I actually have another one designed, which I designed first, but wasn't ready to run due to OvTvS. We're going to be overrun.

I wanted to run a season 4 game (I think), but I asked Juls first and she asked me not to and that we would work together on that season, and then sort of disappeared. Sigh.

Yeah, I was planning on doing each season with a modding team - but most of them seem to have flaked and I'm not passionate enough except for a unique mechanic idea I have that needs to be fleshed out a lot more.

Do what you want. I WAS planning on doing each season, but I don't want to hold you back. Alternatively, you could collaborate with me. I won't be heart broken if you don't - but fyi, I am particularly attached to Season 2.

RC, I ran an auction mechanic game where people bid on things, but it's not quite the same. I think MoS and I designed a price is Right game a long time ago but we never ran it... Lol. Sounds like a cool idea.

Would anyone be interested in a game where the flavour is Polandball/MS Paint artwork? E.g. Nightkills are represented with dead clay, day starts are represented with an MS Paint sunrise. I’d like to refine my MS Paint skills plus I’ve never designed a mafia game before.

I ran an MS Paint themed game back in the day, but it was pretty specific. People seemed to enjoy it.

It was UPick death scenes which I recreated in MS Paint (very poorly).

No idea who that is. Mine was from silverbullet’s driving thread in f62 that was a site meme at the time, and was fairly specific. Could have just been independent genius. It’s definitely a repeatable idea.

This is it. It’s so old it’s only partially archived. But like I said above, the idea could be done endlessly and it would still be fun so it hardly matters.
