I'm trying to edit a poll in another thread, but each time I save it, PHPBB saves something completely different. It may be because I previously set a poll on it with an expiration date and then deleted the poll when it concluded.

Ah it happens when you delete a poll by leaving the title and options blank.
Is there any workaround for this? (This thread has a delete poll option that mag work, but I didn't see that in my other thread.)
