so this is a setup where each townie is a dayvig, and collectively they can only shoot once. petapan rolls me scum with pooky. he sends out role pm's, and rather than waiting for everyone to confirm their role, he immediately starts the game. pooky wasn't around within a minute of the game starting. he then gets shot because "frozen scum". 10/10 i cried many tears
The most recent installment of the Thoughts series didn't come from me, but from Jake, who stepped in after I mis-gamed Seventh Thoughts. Jake ran it beautifully and his formatting was easy to follow and he generally ran a much cleaner game than me. Plus, I finally got a chance to play this setup and I hope to see it in Open or Micro at some point soon.
I had a lot of fun last marathon weekend in two of the games in this series and I know many others did too. I do not even care that I lost. When you have this much fun, with these players, and a good mod, its all good!
Indisputably the most beautiful done Marathon games from VCs to role pms. A quintessential nsg production as she once again pulls out all of the stops and full efforts moderating a marathon game. To add onto that, it was a pretty good game that ended in 3p LYLO.
A very well moderated game of Secret Hitler, and Datisi has put in the effort to run a whole three secret hitler games over marathon weekend which is very impressive and also very demanding with the constant vote tabulating. Dats also used very nice looking VCs and proven that Secret Hitler can be a staple to many marathons to come
Very smoothly modded set of Secret Hitler games. VC/Policy tracker were easy to read and follow. Also, the games were some of the most enjoyable of the weekend. She also modded a couple of CONSPIRACIES and who doesn't like a bit (a lot) of Conspiracy. Not a lot of people being my point.
Krazy modded a ton of games over the weekend. Compromise was one of my favourites and had some very interesting mechanics which led to many fun mind games. He also modded CONSPIRACY quite a few times. And as we've previously established; no one says no to some (many) conspiracy.
Iconeum modded three games of Chaos is a LaddaH, which run a 2v4 variation of the Russian Roulette Mafia setup, and are a frustrating blast to play in. In this game, scum!Dann opened with a shot on scum!bugs, successfully killing his partner immediately despite the 1/6 chance of the first shot hitting. Then Dann immediately got called out for it by pops, who said that if she had rolled scum she would've opened with a partner shot. The game got down to a Dann/Datisi/pops LyLo, and, well... scum won.
Every player had a post restriction in that they were only allowed to vote, use sounds made by a specific animal, or use gifs of that animal. Playing this at 4am while half-conscious was a truly marvelous experience.
I'm a little biased, but this game was my favourite over the weekend. Clean modding, a fun playerlist, and an overall positive attitude made for a very enjoyable experience. Some highlights were: Datisi jumping headfirst onto a landmine, Hectic outing the scumteam in his second post, and popsofctown getting a guilty on town and an innocent on scum due to the game's interesting mechanics.

Hey so.
We failed to actually hand this out for the labor day marathon weekend and we still want to hand this award out for this weekend as well.
So if you've participated in marathon weekend this weekend, please nominate any marathons you thought were a blast to participate in.
We will also be announcing details on how we're going to make up for being late when it comes to handing out a speedrunner award for the labor day marathon weekend later!
