Not gonna lie--I never signed up for this game. I was assigned this game due to listmod error so was quite baffled when I received a role PM for a game that I never signed up for to play. But when I took a look at the game, I went, "...yaknow what, sure, why not?" and decided to stay in it.

Although that is with the presumption that the alignment of the role would have had any relevance in her decision.

Hey guys, sorry for the inactivity. Life has had a big upheaval thanks to lockdown procedures in Victoria moving to stage 3. Big post incoming!

Okay, firstly. I'm going to acknowledge that my play thus far has definitely warranted the scumreads. The plan I had was definitely not carried out very well. Nevertheless, I assure you that I am, in fact, town. Here was my thought process:

1:Hmm, what's this? Town Informed Role Flavorer? Oh great, I'm a glorified Vanilla Townie. (Pregame, I can pick each person's role flavour, has to be 50 characters or less.)
- I was quite disappointed at this stage as I was looking forward to a more mechanically interesting role when I signed up for a role madness game.
2: Oh wait, this is a bit of an opportunity!
- I realised two things. Firstly, in a role madness game such as this, a role as mechanically useless as 'role flavorer' is pretty much always going to be a protown role, and hopefully most of the playerbase will recognise this.
Secondly, I can actually use the role flavour for a bit of a plan If I play my cards right (I did not in fact, play my cards right.) The plan is that during early day one, I subtly tell certain players that I know their role flavour by referencing it. By now I've done this to about half of you. Then I see if/how they react.

I'm entertaining reconsidering my read on you because giving people flavours seems fairly useless for a scum role in madness setup (is the setup roles randomly generated though? I don't quite understand "madness setups" other than there's lot of weirds roles and madness), but your posting is really lackluster.

I agree that my posting has been lackluster. I am to fix that once I get out of this hole I've put myself in. The hole being that I've spent so much attention on a plan that wasn't as fruitful as I'd hoped that I don't really have many solid reads.

Nah, not Turkey's slot. You, yes, got the meaning immediately, but Turkey's slot was an instant lock for the townbloc because if you look at page one it is painfully transparently obvious that you two are town. Like, you just have that instant sort of :vibe:. Role had nothing to do with it. Just the sort of instantly locked townbloc that you just...get sometimes.

I’ve just realised. Keeping the knowledge I know to myself is likely to bring harm than revealing it right now. The informed part of my role tells me this: That someone in the game has a specific role. I will use a synonym of the exact role name to prevent fake claims. The role in question is called the flavour finder.


Now, here’s my theory. There’s a good chance it’s wrong, as now you all know as much as I do.
I reckon there’s a good chance this flavour finder is a mafia role, and that there’s may be some death note-esque shenanigans related to people’s flavour.

I don’t think he’s been particularly townie, and it could be a way for scum to get to the end quicker. The fact that you are a mailman makes me think there is not a scum mailman and that eyestott made all of this up.

Supposing the JOAT is real, he would have something like a cop shot I imagine as one of his powers if he has a "guilty". His second power seems to be mailman.

That’s a really good point. But they didn’t recommend that I even mention I received mail. Their two suggestions were 1) fake claim a guilty of my own on pk

I’ve been inactive on the site as a whole for the past few days, so please don’t view this as strategic lurking.
I’ll be spending a bit of time on this game tomorrow, but I can do the following right now:

Firstly, the reason for my own flavour.
Being from Australia, you’ll notice that I spell it as flavour, not the American ‘Flavor’.
So when I saw that my role name was “Town Informed Role Flavorer”, my first thought was “I cannot let this slide.”
Hence why I made my flavour “Town Informed Role Flavourer*”
