Honestly, I think three candidates is enough for the presidential election when we only have five players. The primary phase is supposed to narrow down how many people we have to select from so that reaching a consensus is easier. Thus I put forth the following motion:

Motion M008: The primary phase of the first presidential election shall end immediately, and the general election phase shall begin. This motion lasts for one second.

The President, when elected, must appoint at least 3 other players to become his Advisory Board. The Advisory Board can overturn any ruling the President makes with a 2/3ds vote. In the event that the President passes anything, the Advisory board must, with a 2/3rds majority, agree with the passing before the approval goes through.

I will approve of 365 if you amend it to include a time limit on how long the advisory board gets to possibly overturn a veto. This is to ensure the proposal doesn't end up being active forever. I also think using defined terms is better than using exact numbers; using a supermajority is equivalent to 2/3rds vote rn.

Something like this: "The President, when elected, must appoint at least 3 other players to become their Advisory Board. The Advisory Board can overturn any ruling the President makes with a supermajority vote provided thst it occurs in 48 hours or less from the time of the ruling. In the event that the President passes anything, the Advisory board must, with a supermajority, agree with the passing before the approval goes through."

367: A president may pass 1 rule per presidency. A president cannot pass a rule if it requires unaminous consent, or a supermajority.

Proposal 367: Players should not edit their proposals once another player has posted. If an edit on a post containing a proposal occurs two minutes or more after another player posts, the editor shall be penalized 2 reputation.

Two reasons for this to be a thing: 1) players could potentially change their proposal to something completely different from what it was originally and 2) it's more of a burden for me. The reputation penalty only comes after two minutes because sometimes you want to sneak a ninja edit in, but someone posts. Thus, the two minutes act as a grace period.

If you want to change your proposal in a major way or after another player posts, you should amend it using the official proposal amendment process. (See rule 308.)
