In the game of survivor, rarely does a theme resonate so deeply that the format is considered genius. Once such theme was Brains Vs. Brawn Vs. Beauty. Though it may have had something to do with the cast, the way in which the game focused on those three attributes was nostalgic. Most who are fans have never forgotten the theme. The three of us want to try our hand at adapting this theme in a very unique way and see how the results play out. In The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, there are three main attributes that represent the Triforce, the greatest force in the land of Hyrule. These three attributes are Power, Courage, and Wisdom. Survivor has three traits are often widely debated, the strength to Outlast, the heart to Outplay, and the knowledge to Outwit. In Survivor: Power Vs Courage Vs Wisdom, we will test these traits as they relate to the game of survivor, through an epic 2nd person perspective narrative written specifically to give you the experience of a text based adventure. But don't let the pretty words distract, as 21 hopeful adventurers are all aiming to be the last one standing. One hero will not only save the world of Hyrule from the clutches of the nefarious entity known as Calamity Ganon, but will go down in the hall of fame of MS Survivor as one of the elite winners.

{GENERAL RULES}

{01} This is a game. The main objective is to have fun; so no excessive flaming or spamming.

{02} This is a game. The secondary objective is to win.

{03} We are infallible, so if you think we made a moderating mistake, please point it out and we will demonstrate to you that you are wrong.

{04} We have worked extensively to produce a game that can be traversed by many diverse adventurers, and definitely not just ourselves. As such, we promise to offer each player respect but expect to be shown the same in return. We also EXPECT you to respect all other players. If this rule or any MS rule is violated and brought to our attention or the Listmod's attention, we may be forced to take further action.

{05} Survivor: Power vs. Courage vs. Wisdom is ANONYMOUS. All participants are strictly prohibited from so much as hinting to their own identities or implying another player's identity. If you are talking with other people outside of this forum, you must not state or imply that you are playing in this game. If you are talking with other players on this forum, try not to say anything that would allow people to easily ID you. Communication outside the private message system is also forbidden unless otherwise stated. Failure to follow this rule can result in a variety of consequences ranging from a terse warning to one's elimination from the game. We reserve the right to determine the severity of possible infractions.

{06} Exercise common sense. If you are unable to figure out whether an action conflicts with the rules, ask. Yes, this is a competition, but do not attempt to undermine challenges or game mechanics for your own gain. This violates both the spirit of the game and common respect mentioned above. If intentional cheating occurs, you will punished accordingly.

{07} Private communication with players outside of your tribe or eliminated players is strictly prohibited unless otherwise specified. Any player found in violation of this rule will be penalized.

{08} Any and all posting about this game outside the provided forums unless SPECIFICALLY STATED is prohibited.

{09} The posting of Private Messages (whether via text (paraphrasing is fine) or via image) in a public forum is explicitly disallowed. You may, however, post them in your confessional. You are also prohibited from taking a screenshot of private messages and showing them to other players. Forwarding is not allowed. HOWEVER, quoting is allowed, as is pretending to quote. You may paraphrase, and you may quote very short snippets, like you might in a real conversation.

{09a} Don't show other players screenshots or quotes of anything in your confessional, any challenge scores, or any game information they do not already have access to, which includes items.

{09b} We are aware that group PMs are possible to create, but for simplicity sake, please do not utilize this function, one on one PMs only thanks <3

{10} The moderators may discipline any player that breaks the rules however we see fit, depending on the specific situation. The punishment for adventurers that try to break game code is death, but we may choose to be more lenient such as verbal warnings, disallowing participation in a future challenge, removal of a vote at the next TC, etc. We also reserve the right to implement new rules if needed.

{11} Although this game takes place on an off-site forum, that forum is considered an exclave of Mafiascum.net. All MS conduct rules will apply as well as punishments for breaking them.

{GAME MECHANICS}

{12} PMs are only to be used for communication within your tribe unless otherwise specified. Spectators ARE NOT "in your tribe" don't message them.

{13} All TC deadlines will be at the same time no matter what, but may not occur exactly 24 hours after challenge results are posted. This will be determined during the application process and communicated via announcement at game start.

{IMMUNITY CHALLENGES}

{14} Winners of Immunity Challenges will be safe from elimination and cannot be voted out at the Tribal Council during that particular round. Note that giving away the Immunity Necklace is allowed, but only for the first 12 hours of a Tribal Council, and once passed it cannot be passed again. If the necklace is passed, an additional 24 hours will be added to the clock.

{15} The outcomes of all Challenges are final, except in case of incorrect tallying by the mods. If you see something we may have missed please bring it up, Impa will listen to you.

{16} We appreciate the fact that prospective adventurers will enter this game with a range of skills. With this in mind, understand that we as mods can't cater to all players' needs and time constraints in challenges. We will, however, consider extreme circumstances brought to our attention making judgment calls if need be.

{16a} Unless otherwise stated, you MAY NOT USE OUTSIDE RESOURCES FOR ANY CHALLENGE.

{TRIBAL COUNCIL}

{17} Tribal Councils are where players are voted out. Before the merge, only the losing tribe or tribes will visit Tribal Council, and will vote at least one player off. After the merge, all remaining players will go to Tribal Council, including immunity challenge winners.

{18} On a general basis, our goal is to ensure Tribal Councils last 24 hours from the end of the challenge, but may change at the mods discretion if need be. PLEASE PAY ATTENTION TO THE TIMER WHEN POSTED. If a player fails to submit a vote within the given time frame, they will receive a selfvote. In the event that a player knows he or she will be unable to vote by deadline, that player may notify the moderators and cast a conditional vote to avoid penalization.

{19} The results of Tribal Councils will not be posted before the deadline.

{19a} Unless an extension has been given, votes made after the deadline expires will not be counted, even if Guides are late to posting results.

{20} The modification of votes after they have been submitted is allowed. Please submit this as a new post, do not edit, edits might be missed. Players are able to change their votes as many times as they want until the deadline expires.

{21} If a player has failed to vote three times, the mods may choose to eliminate that player at their discretion.

{BREAKING TIES}

{22} In the event of an initial tie, a revote shall take place. Adventurers may only vote for one of the tied players, and all tied individuals may not vote. Reward items may not be used in this revote, but any reward items that have already been played WILL remain in play.

{22a} If a revote is necessary to break a tie, 24 hours will be added to the clock.

{23} If a majority is not met in the revote, all tied players and immune players become instantly immune and the remaining players will draw rocks for elimination. Note that this applies even if, say, a three-way tie becomes a two-way tie. In this scenario, only the players in the two-way tie would be immune for the rock draw. In a Final 4 TC, rocks will not be drawn, and tied players will participate in a tiebreaker challenge.

{TWISTS}

{24} Twists will be implemented without warning or provocation throughout the game. The time and setting of each twist has already been determined, so as to neither give an unfair advantage or disadvantage to a player or group of players.

{OTHER STUFF}

{25} There are some items in game that may affect any or all of the above rules, if you find yourself as the possessor of said items, they will describe the way in which those rules may or may not be altered. If you have questions and are in the possession of one of these items, please reach out to one of your Guides for further information.

{25a} Mods will not answer questions about items that are not in your possession or that may or may not exist in the game, including idols...if they exist.

{26} Spoilers of Breath of the Wild may happen, we recommend beating the game, watching a youtube, or reading a game synopsis, if you do not want to be spoiled. In addition, there may be game elements that are altered for the purposes of this game.

{27} Guides will be using a 'Like' system to signal that we have seen something such as votes and challenge attempts. If you believe something has been missed, you are welcome to reach out to us, but know that we are diligently trying to watch everything this game.

{28} For all submissions, both challenges and votes, you must always make a new post to update your submission, never edit your previous posts. If the results have been posted and they are incorrect due to you editing your submission post rather than submitting a new post, we will not be fixing the results if we miss YOUR edit.

{28a} If you're submitting an update please include the whole submission, we will count that post as if it's the only post being made for that submission, if you're missing information previously provided we will assume that this is intentional.

{29} We intend on having a live reveal for all players at the end of this game. To that effect please don't ID yourself anywhere for any reason until after the live reveal.

{30} If any mod infractions occur in conjunction with the above rules, please reach out to our Head Guide (aka the Listmod) as we are accountable to them. This person is none other than Beedle (aka PrivateI).

{COVID-19}

{31} Due to the current situation we are adding in some extra rules to this game to help players in need during this time.

{31a} If you need an extension at any point in the game please inform a Guide and we will do our best to accommodate you, no questions asked. Please inform us at the earliest possible time, but please don't abuse this rule. If the request comes in less than 2 hours before results (whether challenge or TC) we may not be able to accommodate this. Likewise if you know you're going to be away from the game for longer than 24 hours please inform us so we can plan ahead.

{31b} If for whatever reason you cannot do a challenge please inform us and we will attempt to find a suitable alternative or stand in if we can accommodate. We ask that you contact the Guides directly so that we can plan accordingly.

{31c} Please understand that this virus will also cause some issues for the Guides too, we may need to make some changes to the game if something comes up (such as a website going down). Please be patient with us during this time.

A couple notes about this game if you are considering applying for it:

1. The game may feature heavy twists that may confuse and confound some newer players, so while we will be accepting newbie applications, we strongly encourage you to familiarize yourself with how anonymous Survivor works on Mafiascum.

2. Spoilers of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild may happen, we recommend beating the game, watching a youtube, reading a game synopsis, if you do not want to be spoiled. This will not be a true adaptation of the game, but many of the elements and plot points of the game may be used in and out of context.

3. Please do not discuss whether or not you are planning to apply for this game for anonymous purposes.

Now that I'm taking a break in packing, I just want to pop in and say I am so proud of all of you players here, you played your hearts out and this game wouldn't have been half of it without you, and I am grateful that you came and played our game. DN, kloud, and Vash you all had such different paths to the end and that was such a good FTC from all of you, I'm very impressed. Congrats on finally not being second place, Vash. Your cockroach style play finally paid off.

I wanna thank Malkon for bringing me this crazy idea almost 2 years ago, I had a lot of fun taming your idea down and making this monstrosity with you. You have such a passion for all the projects you work on, and your enthusiasm is contagious. I wanna thank CM1 for joining our team way late into the design phase. We would have been lost without you. You brought such amazing ideas and organization to this. Your spreadsheets made this a dream to moderate, and we were a well-oiled machine thanks to the automation you built into them. I have loved moderating with both of you, and I can't wait to see what else you both bring to the LSG world, though please don't try to beat 22/24 on the rubric okay? It tends to go over badly I also want to thank BrightSkies for the amazing banners and art that they made. These were so beautiful and you really tied the game together. And you are the best cheerleader anybody could ask for. You were always there to cheer us up when things were getting us down, you helped playtest so many of these challenges and totally slaughtered us in some of them. You're an amazing dose of sunshine and support, and your cute gif game is on point. I want to thank Monty and CC for looking over this game and helping to make it better and more understandable, and playtesting with us. Thank you for making this game possible.

I also want to thank all of you spectators, you only added to the entertainment of this game and I appreciate all of your comments and feedback. And Inventory only was as good as the posts you put into it.

And thank you to the temple of time, while we didn't end up needing any of you to replace, thank you for being there. Casting for this game was incredibly competitive and we had to cut 10 people, all of whom we debated long and hard over our choices. And we appreciate you being willing to step in, and we apologize that you only got to watch.

And just, all of you players, thank you from the bottom of my heart for all you put into this game. I love you all, and I couldn't have asked for a better group of people to put all of this effort into. Stay fabulous and amazing.
