Why not Datisi, or an as-of-yet unnominated option, like Ginngie? Why do you not think you’d be a good market owner?

Nominating myself is going to be a tainted option. No one trusts me, so saying I should get the role of the person with the most trust is a losing proposition.

I've read barely any of the game so far, but if there's a solid towncase on Datisi or Ginngie that I can get behind I'd be down for that.

I specifically DON'T want Mena/Gobbles to be the market owner D1 because they're players I don't trust early townreads on. Actually, iirc Datisi might be in that category as well, although I'd have to check the rising star nom from last year because most of my Datisi knowledge is from reading those games. And a hydra game with Formerfish.

My goal with the election is to vote someone who is likely town. Past that, I straight don't give a shit because the only really important use of that role is to not pick things like Godfather and Ninja, and pretty much anyone with a brain and a pulse could reason that out. I picked Titus because she was the first (and only) ISO I chose and looked like town.

OTOH, her logic leads her to the correct results a large amount of the time and I trust her to be able to make rational decisions when given surface level setup spec (actually, I don't think I see a name on the list I wouldn't trust with that) so I don't have a problem with giving her the role when it looks like she's town so far anyway.

If scum want to make weak kills to remove money, I’m okay with it. The people who have already used their money are mostly more town than not, especially if you picked up the bp as intended. OTOH, who bid on what and why is an interesting way to get into the thought processes of the players. If, for example, Ginngie sniped the bp despite being an unlikely shot by any metric, that would make for an interesting “why the fuck” discussion.

Why are you assigning roles? This just again is a long way to get at who is a PR. Unless you have a neighborhood or some other way to protect said roles, you shouldn't do this.

This post by you functionally proves my point re: we should be manipulating the auction to prove those people who still have all their money. Eh, I don't think the powers that come up matter as much as how they're seen. Like, scum spent a lot of resources early which I don't think they necessarily had to do and in doing so made the later powers scarier. The Maria lynch D1 was definitely a huge advantage for town, too, especially because it happened so quickly that she didn't really have a chance to fuck with the bidding.
