in high school people played this funky chessish fantasy game. The units did damage to eachother's HP and stuff like Fire Emblem but positioning was really constrained + really strict line of sight rules made it play a lot like chess

The most interesting chess piece was the enchantress because she could not attack at all, but she could paralyze herself to paralyze all units near her indefinitely until she decides to unparalyze herself. If you paralyzed all your opponent's units at the end of the game it counted as a win, and if you were clever you could get 2 or even 3 units in range of her and you've done a really good job because other pieces couldn't kill 3 units at the end of the game by themselves but she can "kill" them. But she was very very risky because she can't fight. To contribute before trying to checkmate, she has to kind of sneak around and paralyze herself and 1 other pieces, maybe 2, that are strategically important at the moment to make them miss a turn or two, then probably have to run away due to helper pieces coming after her.

This post only comes from Iconeum if it's scum with me or if Iconeum is town, and I know I'm not scum with Iconeum. Ame's thesis is "wronger" if Iconeum is scum with someone else, Iconeum would have factual information about his actual partner. Since Ame's thesis is shaky even based on public information, Iconeum would want to vindicate the inaccuracy of Ame's thesis, making a sarcastic joke that parodies the theory. He would be drawn to it based on his perfect information, but know that it's ok because it's possible to parody using public information (and town!Iconeum still knows that Ame's thesis is counterfactual). Instead, Iconeum makes a different joke that pokes fun at his own inability to falsify the thesis. This would be likely from both an Iconeum that's partnered from me, and a town!Iconeum.
I have been pretty excited about "would have told a different joke" tells since Azuresky scumread me with it in my first post in Deathlist, and virtually no one else correctly scumread me all game. I applied it to PenguinPower in Menalque's favorite places for a correct scumread and applied it to Firebringer in AvP for a correct townread. I'm sure I've missed with it at least a little and I'm forgetting, but I want brand loyalty for the spiciest of all methods.

Iconeum's phrasing here is very unconcerned with appearing right or winning an argument. He's opening himself up to 1-2 other people saying they balance their readslists as town occasionally and watering him down. There were other ways to double down here that let him always appear to have the right of it even if other data comes out.

i think it would be even harder for me to win with the troll class than to win as a draconian. The draconians can't wear armor and that's harsh, but they can cast spells, and sometimes you can one shot stuff so it doesn't matter how soft you are.

the troll class also can't wear most armor, but they're not good at magic. what they get is rapid regeneration. but when you fight lots of stuff at once, that is not as good as being able to cast a spell that does big damage in a 3x3 and kills everything so you just stop taking damage

No one ever townreads Hectic. Hectic just systematically destroys and obliterates any desire you could have or imagine to participate in activities with the remotest possibility of resulting in his death. He bragged to me once about having no mislynches in his first 12 games on site or something like that once. Even scum do not want to lynch him. There was a game with some confusion about role PM distribution that shook out in a way that should make him more likely to be scum for failing to notice townies were all CC'ed for receiving a VT role, and in that same game my scumpartner was threatening to kill everyone in the room to protect Hectic whilst ignoring me. I have only ever even attempted to mislynch him when it was badly necessitated AND he was half V/LA AND a mechanic paired his lynch with another one that was more compelling. In spite of those things, my human capacity to play scum that way confirms I'm not human. A human's will to send any and all physical, metaphorical, or theoretical objects that are not medical care, food, or Christmas cards in his general direction is rapidly undermined and eroded until it has been totally disintigrated.

I think of scumrange as "the things you'd be brave enough to do as scum/could execute in a way that's not obviously awkward as scum, supposing you thought of them" rather than "the things that might occur to you to do as scum". 273, 192, I believe/hope are in my scumrange and definitely 176 and 86, are within my scumrange. I am not really positive 176 would come into my mind the way it should, if I knew who the scum were, but that's irrelevant to how I use the word scumrange.

I think I should be clear I've been cognizant of no daytalk all game, regardless of my alignment. In addition to seeing it in either the rules or an early post, Enter has complained about daytalk in other parts of the forum and that serves as a mnemonic. I also think it's in my scumrange to whine at him about no daytalk. Daytalk violates a scum's 8th amendment rights under the US constitution and I even wonder whether people should get removed from scum PTs when they die really.

It seems kind of overly reciprocal in nature, but given the rest of the town hasn't been so favorable to dragon, it's scum indicative to be eager to reciprocate the townread. There's a bayes theorem kind of principle that someone coming up with a hard townread on a viable lynch is more likely to be doing so genuinely than scum because scum are burning their own opportunities.

intriging has a soft 'g'. intrigging has a short 'i' for the second 'i'. It's the minimum number of letters for phonetic pronunciation to be unambiguous, unlike many English words. What has it done to earn your criticism? Intreegging would work I guess but doesn't develop from its French etymology naturally at all.

I don't think the first post is AI. I've seen him make statements like that before (as scum), but I don't think it's something that necessarily comes from scum. The second post is incredibly scummy and disproves his claim that he was just poking because he seems to genuinely believe what his argument there. I'll show why it's scummy in my next post.
