Also, no. The people running the song contest should not decide which songs are "good enough" to make it in. That's all kinds of garbage right there. At that point everyone suddenly has to play to what they want.

You enter, you may be randomly not involved if theres a lot of entries, the way it has always been since the start. You can still vote in this contest after all. Your song can simply be entered into the next one.

It has to be randomized. That's the only fair way of doing it.

I do approve of the guaranteed bid not being "next contest" only. It worked well before.
