In post 53, PookyTheMagicalBear wrote:When someone is certain they have a scum player figured out they use FINGER OF DEATH on that scum - we all vote him.
if that person is scum - we win.
if that person is town, we lynch whoever used the FINGER OF DEATH in the end-game.
I think this is objectively a bad plan, especially because it’s been called
Playing under the assumption that scum are willing to WIFOM this out and will never push a partner:
Town on town - (7/9) * (3/4) = 7/12 = 58.3%
Town on scum - (7/9) * (1/4) = 7/36 = 19.4%
Scum on town - (2/9) = 2/9 = 22.2%
So mathematically that works out to a 58.3% scum winrate, while voting randomly (1-(7/9 * 2/3)) is only a 51.8% chance

Your partner is RPing but I...don’t really see how different it is

I had this post as showing a mindset I'm in ~relatively commonly as town
lack of follow-up is kinda eh but we're still on page 5

please only remember this read if it’s correct
Tbf, Hect does feel a bit less "serious mode" compared to the game where I was scum with him.

FINGER OF DEATH: Misty
Your first mistake was assuming the finger of death was bound to your mortal rules of EV calculation. What would you like your final meal to be?
I feel like I would have to do a lot of incessant nitpicking in order to derive anything from this.
let's talk about this post
does egix mention not being able to get anything from it because he knows they're all town and can't get a non-biased view of it, or because he doesn't want to take a stance on his partner?
In post 681, pighawk wrote:Does anyone else find it strange that a hydra keeps melding the Hawk and Pig opinions into one? Or the fact that a hydra with two players gets prodded?

The scum in this 3p is going to try and fit in as hard as possible. So if the two town don’t post the scum won’t. It’s incumbent on the two town players to set the pace. And of course more words are better.
yee
that’s why I’m inclined to lean towards chk town because he doesn’t seem like he’s trying to blend in
In post 714, Tuxedo Mask wrote:Ugh, I'm very lazy and bad at going through Chemists' games. Chem would say it's fair to say you seem to get caught pretty fast as scum? On a quick glance that seemed to be the trend.
Probably around 75% of the time on this site ye
On other sites I can play to much higher levels but for some reason it just doesn’t manifest here
I don't want to be that guy but I think hop getting mad at people not seeing me as scummy for my lylo play feels like scum emotion moreso than towny, especially if he's strongly considering chk as scum as well
In post 739, chkflip wrote:If you're insinuating I'm waiting to vote Hoptic, you're dead wrong.
Hop, I'd suggest taking some time away from the thread and just ignoring the slot because AFAIK it is majority frowned upon to block a slot you're currently in a game with.
Chem, what's
your
case on Hoptic? I may have missed it.
their early d1 felt weaker than I'd expect and I haven't liked their approach to F3, feels reactionary in a scummy way

In post 760, chkflip wrote:Right, no, I mean how does it transition from the quoted post to where it is now? I should've been more clear with both of you tbh but rl stuff.
it’s kinda just a basis that’s sitting in the back of my mind
it hasn’t really changed but more has been added to the scumread
Because I don’t see myself ending up anywhere else and I don’t see the game progressing without votes
The game could have progressed if you actually engaged with us in any way by responding to any of the many points we raised rather than just saying 'I think Hoptic is scum so I'm not going to engage with anything they're saying.'

I was never intending to approach your slot in bad faith
I got paranoid that you were and didn’t know how to handle it and that’s on me
