I am good with guessing pit.

No but you do take it out of the ground much like gold and you use an OIL WELL for that.
Like yes you "technically" don't mine for oil, but this is codenames, what else would you use to get gold, oil and well? Drilling won't get you gold, but mining already sets you on that path and isn't that far from Oil.
Also most Mining isn't done in a pit, it's done in caves. Unless they wanted to evoke the idea of strip mining.
Also, what is NM doing? Worst play I’ve ever seen.
I can't remember the last N_M post that wasn't bland, unimaginative and lame. Some shitposters are at least somewhat funny. You are the epitomy of the type of poster that nobody would miss if you were to suddenly disappear. You never add anything of value.
I'm guessing you haven't read the game and probably never will? Why even sign up to play?

Edit: it's also important to note it functions as a noun.
aaaaah, learning something new everyday. I think the fact that the word is a gerund actually doesn't change anything.

Let's do it then
Guess: PIT

sorry vash, if it is the wrong word, I shall follow your lead in this game from here on out.

What about lead. since it seems that we do mine lead and since both pit and gold are correct, I think there is a good chance of lead being correct?

Yep. But looking at the squares, doesn't seem to have much connected with lead. So I think guessing lead, even if it is not our clue, doesn't help them much.

BRIDGE would be something that is constructed, and that would experience road construction.
Road construction signs are ORANGE.
Maybe a wrecking BALL, although that's closer to demolition - but that's arguably part of the construction process.
Cities are rife with construction in general, putting BERLIN on the table.
CRASHing sounds occur during construction; construction might be needed to fix the aftermath of a crash as well.
Bridge obviously. Fork for Forklift? Ball for Wrecking Ball is also good. I could see Robot if you squint a little. Crash isn't that bad either. and I see what you mean about Orange.

Bridge should be a very safe guess. I like fork for forklift. Robots and sinks can be constructed. Ambivalent about crash/orange, not confident on Berlin/ball.
I'd put FORK and BALL in the same category - both require adding something to the word that isn't really the primary definition of the word, and produce something used at a construction site.
Agree that ROBOT is a possibility.
So the question is, what sort of construction was the primary construction intended? SINK only really fits in with house construction, I think? I don't really think of sinks as being constructed themselves - to me, it's either roadwork, assembling a building, or putting something composed of a whole bunch of pieces together.
Definitely agree that BRIDGE is the strongest link so far.
