Will You Survive a Night at The Haunted Mansion?!

Mr. Grey has invited a group of guests to his house for a dinner party - but some

uninvited guests

have snuck in and are up to no good. With the doors locked - you must use your wits and your skills to figure out how to survive the night....


Rules and Setup:

Each player will receive a role with unique objectives - background story - items.

The Mansion will have multiple rooms to explore to search for clues and items that could help you survive.

This setup has not been tested for balance - most people will not survive this experience.

Signups are open for all - play to have fun and follow general site rules about civility etc - the numbers of players/roles will be determined by interest in the game.

Rules for this game:


You may engage in combat with another player - by typing in

ATTACK: ____

I will resolve combat by dice-rolling.

Successfully attacking a player will render them unconscious for a 24h period in which case you can rob - steal - murder tie them up etc..

You may assist either side in combat by typing in

ASSIST: ____

when active combat begins. You must assist before I resolve the combat.

You may also search a room by typing in

SEARCH: ROOM FOR ____

You may also do a general search if you have no idea what you are looking for.

You may communicate in the room threads where everyone can see - you can also role play. You can also whisper to another player by private messaging them directly - however if you do this you must type this in the main chat:

Whisper to _____

All actions done in each room will be ERASED at the end of each movement period in order to protect the guilty and because memory is fallible. You will not for example walk into the kitchen and see someone is strangling out somebody else.

Movement will occur in 24h periods

You may publically declare where you are moving to at the end of each period if you are in the main hallway - if you are in a private room outside the Main Hallway - you will automatically exit back to the main hallway.

If you do not enter any rooms - you will stay in the main hallway.
