I think it's time for more SPIRIT OF ROCK AND ROLL. The best part is I don't even need a key change for those songs.

So long as you aren’t editing your own voice. You can do the song in whatever key you want.

I mean, I prefer redux/acoustic versions and assumed they would be fine too, as it's merely a style choice for the piece. (mentioning that because I'm doing it in this very round but also because it is relevant).

Hey Malkon,
I usually have to sing early in the morning, like within an hour of getting up, not just because I don't want to bug my roommates for which this timing is optimal, but also because they watch tv SO LOUDLY that, from another room with the doors in between closed, it actually overwhelms my own voice in live chats and therefore does not work for this sort of thing.

Do you have any tips for how I can warm up or essentially stretch my vocal cords in the morning? I know it's not a optimal time for vocal recordings but it's the only time I can make work most days.

I'm going to sound a bit like a broken record, but I'm going to recommend checking out YouTube videos.

Here's one I found, but in no way would I say it's like "YOU MUST DO THIS" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PQUo7eimhWA

I don't know how well this generalizes but I personally have a reflux issue that makes it hard to sing in the morning. What usually helps is not eating 2 hours before going to bed, and if possible, sleeping and an angle instead of flat.

Try to drink plenty of water in the morning before singing as well

My general warmup is like - scales going up/down, variations of scales to mimic jumps between notes, and then another exercise that I will try to describe but may be very confusing: in a neutral/relaxed voice (almost like speaking), I "sigh" and hit the lowest note in my speaking range and then slide my voice all the way up to the highest note in my speaking range (as if you're really surprised), and coast back down to my neutral speaking area, and repeat (it kind of feels like doing a roller coaster with my voice). I also usually pick one of these 3 things to do with a lip trill to practice my breath support (kind of like blowing a raspberry). you can probably google these things for more detail (although I still am not really sure what to call the third thing).

Go outside and scream, "You can't take the kids from me god damn it Karen" at the top of your lungs for 30 seconds, it opens your vocal tract and has lots of different vowel sounds
Also, what is NM doing? Worst play I’ve ever seen.
I can't remember the last N_M post that wasn't bland, unimaginative and lame. Some shitposters are at least somewhat funny. You are the epitomy of the type of poster that nobody would miss if you were to suddenly disappear. You never add anything of value.
I'm guessing you haven't read the game and probably never will? Why even sign up to play?

I think I sent feedback to everyone who said they were interested! Let it be known that I am not good at remembering to note positive things so I'm sorry if I forgot to do that in your feedback, I mostly tried to suggest 1 or 2 things that I would have done differently. Even if I didn't say it in your pm specifically, I thought you all were great <3

Sing a duet and sing both parts. That'll show em! (that's what I would have done maybe)

Feel free to run the song by me. I'm not...saying yes or no yet. Preferably it's a song that's fully done by someone of a gender you don't identify with as that is the theme of the round...but if it's something like beverly hills...I might allow it.

So long as the song was originally performed by someone of a gender you don't identify with, I'll allow it.

This is hilarious!

I haven't shouted in at least 15 years though and the last time I did I immediately started crying afterwards because I'd lost my temper and that's only happened like 3 times in my life. Coincidentally also the only times I've screamed. Ever.

I would suggest some Queen if you feel up to it! You could slay some of their songs!

Also, thanks for the feedback! I haven't checked those videos yet but I am excited to!

we'll see how i feel tomorrow as deadline approaches because it might begin to clear up but I'd be surprised if an extension would really help as it's just started and feels p bad. I'll let you know tomorrow.
