Town Savior


If you are the sole surviving Town player AND all other surviving players are part of a groupscum faction, the game ends in a Town victory. Non-Town players who haven't already met a win condition lose.

If you are still alive AND a single groupscum faction has parity with all other players, the game ends and that groupscum faction wins. Other players (including Town) who haven't already met a win condition lose.

If both of the above conditions apply simultaneously, the first condition applies.

For the first condition to apply, all other players need not be a part of the same groupscum faction; any combination of groupscum factions will work. Groupscum is defined as any group with two or more members whose members share all of the following: a private topic; a factional action; at least one win condition.

Compulsive Retaliator


During pregame, submit a list to the moderator of all the players in the game, in any order. You may submit a new list to the moderator at any time, except during Twilight.

If you are killed for any reason (other than modkill), you will automatically kill the first living person on your list when you die. This kill bypasses Doctors, Jailkeepers, and any other forms of active protection against kills (except Commuting); it does not bypass Bulletproof, Deathproof, or any other forms of passive protection against kills.

Moderator: pick any alignment for this role.
This kill is considered to be simultaneous with whatever effect killed the player and resolves before endgame is resolved, if the player's death would trigger endgame. If the first living player on the list dies at the same time as the player, the kill fails.
If the player submits a new list during Twilight, do not process the list until Night starts; if the player dies before then, use their previous list to resolve their kill.

Town Overly Inquisitive Oracle


Each night, you may ask three questions to the moderator about the game setup. Questions may not contain the names of players, any substitution for names of players, or any means of uniquely identifying a player or players. Questions must be answerable with only one word.

The moderator must choose one of those three questions and answer it honestly. The moderator will
not
specify which question they answered.

If any of your questions are in any way inappropriate, violate the spirit of any rules relevant to this game, or if you do not ask exactly three questions, the moderator will send you the correct answer to the question "Am I a Town Overly Inquisitive Oracle?" The moderator will tell you if they do this.

Moderator should choose the question that gives the player the least useful information. If any of the questions are against any relevant set of rules (site rules, your rules, role's rules, legal rules), invoke the "Am I a Town Overly Inquisitive Oracle?" clause.

Time Traveller


As long as you are alive, during each night you decide what numbers the next day and night phase will have. You must pick integers between 2 and 10,000, inclusive. You may not pick any number more than twice - once for Day, once for Night. If you do not submit an order, the next day and night will be equal to the number of the last night plus one. If this would cause a repeat, continue adding one to the number until it doesn't.

This will affect roles whose abilities trigger on particular days or nights.
(Example: The next Day will be D3; the next Night will be N8.)

Moderator: pick any alignment for this role. This role cannot affect D1 or N1 unless a role like is in play.

Once per game, during the night, you may attempt to kill a player.

If you succeed, nothing else happens (other than the player's death).
If you fail because you were roleblocked, jailkept, or directly targeted by an ability that stopped your shot, nothing else happens.
If you fail because your target was protected, was jailkept, is bulletproof, is deathproof, or due to any effect centered on your target, the moderator will PM you a copy of what they would have flipped if you had succeeded.

Neutral Eliminator


If you cast a vote on a player that results in that player having a majority of votes, that player will be eliminated even if they have an ability that changes the number of votes required to eliminate them or that protects them from elimination.
You win and leave the game if you hammer three different people. Check this victory condition before resolving the elimination; for purposes of this wincon, the hammer takes place before the elimination.
You are considered to be a threat to all other factions for purposes of determining their wincons.

This role can self-hammer to win if they've successfully hammered two different people in previous Days; if they do so, they leave the game and the Day ends with no player being eliminated. This role loses if they die unless an ability exists that allows them to vote while dead or they come back to life somehow.

Town Novice Diplomat


During the night, you may name any number of living players.

If the players you name are all part of the same groupscum faction AND no other living members of that groupscum faction exist, all players you name win and leave the game.

Your power does not work on N1.

Your power no longer works once it successfully causes a groupscum faction to win and leave the game.

Dead members of the successfully targeted faction also win and leave the game; this gives the faction a win, not the individual players. It does not end the game, making joint Town/scum wins possible. It does not work on third parties. Players affected by this ability should not be announced as having won and left the game; treat them as if they were killed during the game and announce their victory at endgame.

Unjester Bulletproof N3-N4 Weak Checker D5 Suicidal


Unjester (alignment): You win and leave the game if you die by any means other than the daily elimination. You lose and leave the game if you die by the daily elimination. You lose if you are still alive when the game ends. You do not count as a threat for purposes of determining factional victory.

Bulletproof: You cannot be killed during the Night unless the killing effect is Strong, Unavoidable, or otherwise ignores defensive abilities.

Checker: During the Night you may investigate one living player. You will receive a result of "No result" if anything stops you from performing your check; otherwise, you will receive a result of "Check successful."
--N3-N4: You may only use this ability if it is N3 or N4.
--Weak: If you successfully check anyone who is considered to be a threat to the Town with this ability, you Unavoidably die.

Suicidal: When this ability triggers, you lose and leave the game.
--D5: This ability will Unstoppably trigger on D5.

Triggering "Suicidal" does not count as a death for purposes of fulfilling the Unjester win condition. Reroll if any role that can manipulate the flow of time is present; reroll if any role that globally prevents actions from being taken is present. Moderator is encouraged to change the numbers for the N3-N4 Checker or the D5 Suicidal if the game-size is unusually small or large; Suicidal should trigger immediately after Checker is no longer usable.


I'd see if there was a way to make both effects work somehow, or if there's a loophole. In a case of "1-shot Invincible Cycler" vs. "1-shot Force of Nature", I'd say the 1-shot Invincible Cycler survives until their protection runs out - and then they die. If I could foresee an impossible reaction and no workaround during pre-game, I'd force re-roll whichever role looks more unbalanced. If I failed to foresee, then whichever role did a better job of considering things that could cause problems and providing workarounds would get the nod.

I'd consider modkills to fall in the category of a "You lose and leave the game" effect - at least in a game where people could be brought back to life. Any role that tried to overrule that clause would be re-rolled if I were the one doing the modding.

Mafia Conspirator


At the start of the game, the moderator will announce that Conspirators are in the game.

You share a PT with all other Conspirators. You know that no one in this PT is aligned with the Town.

As long as you are alive:
-Factions with a living Conspirator share win conditions and do not count as a threat to each other's win conditions.
-No faction with a living Conspirator may kill a Conspirator, except indirectly via voting.
-If a Conspirator has a "Win and leave the game" win condition and meets it, all factions with a living Conspirator win and leave the game. If this would immediately trigger the Town's win condition, the Town loses instead.

If there are no other Conspirators, add "Conspirator" to the role of any non-Town, non-Mafia player and include the above information. If a faction's Conspirator dies, all benefits and restrictions of the Conspirator are lost. If a Town Conspirator is in the game, re-roll that role until they aren't. Any alignment (other than Town) can be a Conspirator, including but not limited to Serial Killers, Jesters, Unjesters, Survivors, Pirates, Ninjas, Aliens, Werewolves, Mafia, Condemners, etc. etc.

Agreed re: modkills. Those should be unstoppable - not as a specific game term, but just as a statement of fact.

You share a PT with all other Terrestrials (or equivalent role, if one exists). You know that no one in this PT is aligned with the Aliens.

If no other players are Terrestrials, pick one non-Alien and add "Terrestrial" to their role. If any player is an Alien Terrestrial, re-roll that player's alignment until they aren't. If another role has this exact same power with a diferent name, add them to the PT; do not force-add another Terrestrial.

Macho Self-Resurrector

If you are killed, you come back to life. The amount of time this takes depends on how you are killed.
- Via Elimination: a number of full day/night cycles equal to the number of votes you had when you died, plus one. (If you are killed on D1 with seven votes, you come back on D9.)
- Via regular night kill (factional kill, Vigilante): four full day/night cycles after you are killed. (If you are killed on N1, you come back on N5.)
- Via strong kill (Strongman, anything with the "Strong" attribute): two full day/night cycles after you are killed.
- Unavoidable kills (Anything with Unavoidable, Unstoppable, or any sort of ability that attempts to guarantee the kill goes through regardless of defense): five real-time minutes after the kill happens. Furthermore, if this happens, your alignment (and any relevant factional information) is redacted on flip.

- Macho: You cannot benefit from any sort of protective action or ability. If you are targeted with a killing action, you Unavoidably die.

Moderator chooses alignment for this role. Do not factor in Macho when determining how long the Self-Resurrector takes to come back. Only factor in attributes intrinsic to the kill itself. Anything that is functionally equivalent to "kill" (effect created by a player or by the mechanics of the game / renders the player dead or equivalent to dead) should be treated as if it killed. Effects that cause a player to win or lose (and leave the game due to this) will not trigger Self-Resurrector.

Every groupscum faction will be informed during setup that your role is in the game.

During N1, pick a power. Every groupscum faction may, if they choose, name a power as well.
At the start of D2, the existence of your role will be announced, along with the power you named and the power(s) the scumteam(s) named. All living players may vote (using heal tags) on which power to give you. The first power to reach a majority wins. If your power wins, you get that power. During N2, any scumteam that submitted a power may submit a guess to your identity. If a team guesses correctly, you unavoidably die. If a team guesses incorrectly, the guesser unavoidably dies.

No one may submit a resurrection power. If you die before the power vote, no power vote occurs.

Alien Macho Pavlov


During the night, you may target a player that is not a member of your faction. When you do this, choose a second, different player (any other living player, including you).

That player will be informed they've been targeted by Pavlov and given the name of the second player. They will be informed of their choice and the consequences.

If the player votes for the second player within 24 hours of daystart and leaves their vote there until the end of the day, they have Obeyed.
If the player does not vote for the second player, unvotes after voting, or changes their vote, they have Disobeyed.

If they Obey: they cannot be targeted by Pavlov or any member of Pavlov's faction that night for any reason. Additionally, they receive a 1-shot Compulsive Vigilante ability, which must be used the night it's gained.
If they Disobey, you (Pavlov) gain a 1-shot Vigilante ability. Additionally, they will be roleblocked the next night.

If anyone successfully targets you with a killing action, you unavoidably die.

Town 1-shot Reincarnator


The first time you are killed, you come back to life during the next cycle. If daykilled, you come back to life at the start of the next day. If nightkilled, you come bact to life at the start of the next night.

When you come back, your alignment will be re-rolled.

When re-rolling, randomly choose a living player; the Reincarnator takes on that player's alignment and wincon. If that wincon is impossible to obtain without copying the role as well, reincarnate as a Survivor. If joining a scum faction, add them to the scum PT.

If you die anyway, you return to life during the next cycle. You do not flip if killed.

If you are successfully roleblocked, you lose, flip, and leave the game.
You win if you are alive when the game ends (or if you are due to come back to life when the game ends), or if nothing can prevent this. You are considered a threat to other factions.

Add "1-shot Roleblocker" to 33% of the Town. Give each scumgroup a factional 1-shot Roleblocker action; this includes any third-party factions that are considered to be a threat to the Town. This is in addition to their normal roles.

Town Compulsive Queue


During pre-game, submit an ordered list of players. Your name must be at the head of the list. You may submit a new list to the moderator at any time, except in the time between end-of-night deadline and daybreak.

As long as you are alive, when night orders are processed, night orders will be processed by player in order of your list, from top to bottom, instead of being processed via NAR.

  • Roleblocking and similar actions fail if they target someone who has already acted. Roleblocking Queue is effectively impossible.
  • Protective actions fail if they target someone who was killed with an earlier action.
  • If a player is killed before their action is processed, their action fails. If a player is killed after their action is processed, their action still goes through.
  • Investigative actions that report based on actions taken cannot report actions that haven't happened yet. A Tracker tracking someone acting later in the list will get a "Your target went nowhere" report.
  • Flip-altering actions go through regardless of timing, as the flip isn't processed until daybreak.

You have five powers available to you:

Vigilante
- you may target a player at night. You will attempt to kill that player.
Doctor
- you may target a player at night. You will attempt to protect that player from being killed.
Tracker
- you may target a player at night. If that player targeted one or more players, you will receive a report of who they targeted. If that player targeted no one, you will receive a report that they went nowhere. If your action fails, you will receive a report of "No result."
Checker
- you may target a player at night. You will be notified if your action succeeded or failed. Your action otherwise does nothing.
Hider
- you may target a player at night. If someone attempts to target you with a killing effect, their action will fail as if roleblocked. If someone successfully targets your target with a killing effect, you die as well.

At the start of a game, you must assign each of these powers to one of five categories. Each category must have one power assigned. Once assigned, you cannot change the order.

When a category's name accurately reflects the current gamestate, that power will be active.
You will not be told which power is active, or how many scum are alive,

Werewolf Machine


If you submit the factional kill and your kill fails, during the next night you will automatically attempt to kill that target again. If it fails again, you will try again the following night. This continues until either you or your target is dead. Repeat attempts do not count as use of the factional kill; if another Werewolf is alive, they can perform the factional kill on nights where you are attempting a repeat kill.

You cannot use
Multitasking
even if the rules would otherwise allow for it.

If the Werewolf Machine is the only member of the Werewolf faction at the start of the game, re-roll this role.

Cult Virus 1-shot Recruiter


While you are alive:

- Members of the Cult do not have a PT.
- Members of the Cult do not know who is in the Cult.
- Members of the Cult do not know who recruited them.
- Members of the Cult will be told a Cult Virus is alive, and shown a (redacted) copy of the Virus role.
- Anyone recruited to the Cult becomes a
Cult Leader
.
- All Cult Leaders have the power to recruit a player at night.
- If a member of the Cult is targeted by a Cult Leader, that member is instead killed.
- If you are killed by Cult Recruitment, all members of the Cult unavoidably die.
- If you die by any other means, all members of the Cult become regular
Cultists
; they gain access to a PT and learn each other's identities at this time.

During the night, you may target a player.
If that player has any protective action, they die. This ability is considered a Strongman kill.
If that player does not have any protective action, their role changes to
Vigilante
; their alignment remains unchanged.
If that player has a killing action, their killing action permanently becomes a Strongman kill; if it is a limited-use killing power, it becomes reusable. (1-shot Vigilante becomes a full Vigilante; an Alien using their 1-shot Factional kill upgrades their factional kill to being usable every night.)

If you die, you may use your ability one more time.

You win and leave the game if you are still alive AND every surviving player has a killing action. (Your action counts as a killing action)
You win if the game ends with everyone dead (including you).
You lose and leave the game if you are successfully targeted with a protective action.

If you somehow end up with Grudge with a non-Condemner wincon (Grandest Idea), I'd say you're effectively a Townie / Goon in that case. You'd have a target, but having a target doesn't matter if you're aligned with the Town.

N4 Unjester Diplomat


Diplomat: if you reach a majority and would be eliminated during the day, you are not immediately eliminated. Instead, you join a PT with the person who hammered you and the person who put you to E-1.

The three of you have until night ends to make a deal. You may offer any combination of the following powers to either player; each of these powers can only be given once per game:

1-Shot Cop

1-Shot Seer

1-Shot Tracker

1-Shot Vigilante

1-Shot Bulletproof

1-Shot Rolecop

1-Shot Roleblocker

1-Shot Jailkeeper


Any deal must include at least one player gaining a power. Other than that, deals are open-ended so long as they do not require any actions out-of-game or violate site rules / game rules in any way.
All three of you must agree to a deal. If any one of you refuses a deal, it doesn't happen.
Giving of powers is binding - if all of you agree to a deal, you must give them the power(s) you promised. (This will automatically happen as a night action this night.)
Giving of information is binding and must happen during the night - however, honesty is not required.
Any other terms are not binding.
If no deal happens, all three of you unavoidably die during the night.

N4 Unjester: You win if you die during N4, or if you live until the end of the game. You lose if you die during any other phase besides N4.

If this role is rolled (or chosen), all wincons change as follows:

Town - have 50% or more of the total eliminations of the game be Town eliminations; eliminate or kill any Serial Killers.
Regular scum factions (Mafia / Werewolves / Alternate Mafia / etc) - have 50% or more of the Mafia eliminated.
Aliens - have at least two Aliens eliminated; if only one Alien exists, that Alien must die by elimination.
Condemners - make sure your target is *not* eliminated.
Serial Killers, Jesters, Unjesters, Survivors: wincons remain unchanged.
Cult - have the Cult Leader eliminated. If no Cult Leader exists at the start of the game, choose one member of the Cult to serve as a Cult Leader for purposes of fulfilling this wincon.
Any other roles - moderator discretion.

Factions unable to win lose and leave the game.
Players are informed of their new wincons.

Apply this change, then re-roll this role.

If drawn for either role or alignment in Grander/Grandest/etc, apply change and draw a new card to serve as role/alignment.

If the Alien factional kill has been used on a previous night, once per game you may target a player at night. If this player is a member of the faction your faction killed with the factional kill, it will succeed; otherwise, it will fail. You will be aware if this ability successfully works or not. It has no immediate effect. This ability can be roleblocked or otherwise interfered with.

During any future day, as long as your targeted player is alive, you may post
Graft: <player>
in the main thread, where <player> is the player you have targeted. That player's vote will immediately switch to the player you are voting for; for the rest of the day, if you switch your vote, their vote will automatically switch as well. This will be confirmed by the moderator. (Effectively, you become a double-voter while cancelling out their vote.) This ability cannot be roleblocked or otherwise interfered with; it only stops if you or your target die. This ability is re-usable; only the initial targeting is 1-shot.

At night, you may target a player. Assuming no interference in your action, you will give that player a lime. They will be notified that they received a lime (but not that you gave it to them). They will keep this lime unless it is removed by another effect.

Players with limes are immune to scurvy and other ailments caused by a lack of Vitamin C.

This action will fail if it targets anyone with the modifier. Do not notify the player if it fails for any reason.

At the start of the game, you are informed by the moderator of the identity and role of a random non-Vanilla member of Town; if no such person exists, you are informed that no such person exists instead.

If you are killed through any means other than elimination, the player directly responsible for the kill will receive the same information you received. Additionally, if that member of Town is still alive, any killing actions made against them going forward will automatically become unstoppable and undetectable.

unstoppable: any killing action against them is guaranteed to succeed, even if an effect would cause it to fail.
undetectable: any viewing action that would reveal any information about the killing action (including that a killing action was taken) will provide results as if no such action was attempted.

Moderator Choice Daystarter


Alignment: Moderator's choice
Role: Daystarter - If the game is not currently in a dayphase, you may send a PM to the moderator requesting that the game enter the next day phase. The moderator will set the cutoff for night actions to the time the PM was sent; they will then process night actions and start the day as soon as they can do so.

If used during pre-game, this can be used to skip the confirmation phase as well as N0 (if N0 exists).

The moderator should allow pre-submission of night actions if this role is in the game.

Townie with Banned Magic


You begin the game with three mana. Each night while you have mana, you may attempt to cast one of the following spells (provided you have enough mana):

Out-of-game Influence (1 mana) - immediately converts your role to Neutral Survivor. You leave the game and lose the game.
Toxic Behavior (2 mana) - immediately converts your role to Neutral Survivor. You leave the game and lose the game.
Posting Private Communication (3 mana) - immediately converts your role to Neutral Survivor. You leave the game and lose the game.
Spelling Error (1 mana) - send the moderator a music video. The moderator must post this video at the start of the next day. This video must have been published before the game's signups began. If the video contains anything that would violate site rules or the game's rules, your ability fails.

You cannot be compelled to use any of these abilities.

Mafia Spellblocker


You start the game with 10 HP, 0 Mana, and 0 XP.
You cannot have more than 10 HP and 0 Mana at any time, unless overwritten by another effect.
You gain +3 XP at the start of each day that you are alive (including D1).
You gain +2 XP for performing the factional kill.
If anyone targets you or affects you with a spell, you gain 5 XP AND that ability will fail as if its user was roleblocked.
When you have at least 10 XP, the following things happen:
- Your HP cap increases by +5.
- Your HP is set to equal your HP cap.
- Your Mana cap increases by 0.
- Your Mana is set to equal your Mana cap.
- Your XP is set to 0.

If you ever have 0 or fewer HP, you unstoppably die.
If an effect other than the above effect would kill you, instead lose HP as follows:
- Being eliminated by a majority vote: -999 HP.
- Being eliminated by any tampered vote: -20 HP.
- Being successfully targeted with a killing effect: -8 HP.
- Being affected by an untargeted killing effect: -3 HP.

Tampered vote: A vote is considered tampered with if any of its voters have non-standard vote values (including 0) or if any effect other than vote/unvote tags are used to change it.
Spell: any ability that costs Mana, or that is explicitly labeled as a spell. Moderator discretion if any other Mana-like power pools should count as Mana.
