I think the question is a lot more fascinating if the setup doesn't have a hider but converting the hider from a sane investigation to a mostly sane investigation is a big, big deal so it's just tracker

Ehh. Most hiders I've seen just out who they hid on afterwards and it worked out better. You just give a list of 3 and most people can figure it out.
