for me what would suggest you're a good choice for me would be the drawing of attention, but i'm not sure i could evaluate why other players would make that decision. i disagree with the last sentence entirely but it feels particularly not useful to discuss.

imo in a post restricted game you don't want somebody who has low self control and just spam posts a lot. Which I kind of did.

The reason I was very suspicious of Isis was because she decided to follow Drusilla both times without question - her explanation of it as because of a 10% townlean or whatever is very shady to me for several reasons-

in a nomination game - you don't want to have one person selecting all the choices -because if you trust the wrong person, all the choices could easily end up bad.

So even if you were to believe Pooky is scum, the 2nd nominated player should be someone who is un-aligned with Pooky considering you can always have Pooky as a choice.

That was what I was trying to communicate when I kept spamming the thread with "again" over and over - it simply doesn't make sense from a TownPoV to be letting the same person drive the condemn-Train "again" - from a neutral POV even if you don't know that I'm town, you should want more options for the next phase - not less.

like imo bugspray and hectic are about as different as they could be and moderators run setups that they think are interesting for the players to play.

I really doubt that Hectic would find it interesting for us to be fully-post-restricted the entire game. I thought there would be some kind of clever twist that would turn this back into a mafia game at some point because it seems pretty pointless to me anyway to play just animal sounds forever.

I think even if this was a double-elimination it makes more sense to spread your bets out, target the 2nd elimination under the assumption that Pooky is !Town rather than Pooky is !Scum - it's just the higher EV play imo. I've never played a double-elimination game before but I have played Nomination so my mind immediately jumped to some form of nomination mafia where post restrictions would get lifted. so the reason I was heartposting ydrasse is because we had just been lovers in this game together : viewtopic.php?p=12112231#p12112231 during marathon week.

she had been scum and had to suffer through my cringy love-poetry while pretending she was good.

When I saw her in the signups for this game I wanted to try the same thing to see her reaction and sort her slot I was very excited to write some terrible poetry (I love writing bad poetry) but we were post restricted!! frustrated I decided to do some gif-posting instead.

Btw I think gifs work much better for expressing suspicion/townreads.

To your second point - at the time I made that post about people not voting - half the town was not voting and the deadline was coming up- I felt the need to get more interaction in the game because I was pretty lost at that point. As to you saying I wasn't "developing" a framework - I've never really played in a full post restricted game and have no experience in developing a framework or a code - so it seems quite wierd you would try to lynch me over that.

It felt like you were more trying to hold together a voting bloc and target the disenfranchised scattered voters outside of it rather than taking a look at who could be scum slipping on the wagon if you were wrong about Pooky and I don't think that's a natural state of mind.

If I do indeed flip scum as you believe I would - then town is already very ahead for nailing scum on its first elim.

However if I flip town - and you also miss on the 2nd elim because I flipped town instead of scum, you are looking at a 6 player game(after mafia elim) which is close to lylo and you are in the hot-seat having driven 2 straight mis-elims and you could very easily get mis-elim'd for the loss at that point.

I can't understand how town!dru doesn't hedge her bets at all and even consider the pretty decent chance actually that she's wrong about Pooky.

Some of his earlier play has seemed town indicative though.

It feels wonky trying to decide how I'm grading with the context of the gladiator, maybe it's better to try to always think with the assumption I lost and "play from there"

I'm not trying to win an argument versus Dru - it's not like she get get elim'd today. I'm planning how the game will go on from here assuming I get Elim'd today. that would be very lucky if she were to push scum for the wrong reasons - if she is town to begin with.

However if someone is pushing scum for the right reasons and she's pushing a town for the wrong reasons - the scum could help her push that town and set her up later down the road.

Also if dru is scum here she has no reason to push scum.

Pooky would still get elim'd today - because Dru-Isis doesn't make a lot of sense as a pairing - and when Pooky flips scum there would be no point to fighting Dru.

Unless it's a Pooky/Dru mafia team and Pooky is going for some ridiculous gambit. But that's not really happening here.

My goal in arguing with Dru isn't about who's right - I'm trying to sort her slot to get an idea as to whether your slot is scum.
