I think this will be a full game with more than 0 but fewer than usual factional nightkills from the scum and I speculate maybe a random post restricted day that occurs before eLo, so probably tomorrow.
Having just played the post restricted phase and spending lots of time on it it can feel like it was a point in and of itself but if you flip it around and look at it a different way, the extra procedural steps in my/pooky's elimination is a safeguard that ensures the town doesn't have to actually do any eliminations that didn't benefit from post unrestricted gameplay.

Even if we're both town you get miles more momentum and information off of a misexecute if it had real dayplay

i mean dont read into any of my posts. without knowing what the stakes were i was just posting. there wasnt really any reasoning behind my votes. i could try to retroactively justify my posts and votes, but day 1 i voted someone for being a cat. day 2 it was just a random vote basically. on day 2 i felt particularly like there were no stakes since the people who got voted (me being one of them) didnt face any consequences. stating who we would have recruited is pointless because as scum we'd just lie. if anything i dont trust that scum doesnt benefit from this knowledge somehow.

plusjoyed made sense in various worlds to me and their play individually seemed the scummiest out of the non-you players to me, and isis who i was townreading voted there. would you have chosen plusjoyed? somewhat unlikely. would plusjoyed have chosen you? quite possibly.

I don't see it likely that you go to the trouble of random.orging the partner because you have some preference for what you want this game to be like and it's somewhat special and unique to be able to pick your partner.

I don't like wifom and don't like losing because I wifom'ed wrong. I would rather lose for other reasons.
I randomize wifom choices in card games all the time because I would rather remove the possibility the other person has gotten into my head, rather than try to get into their head.
Lately this has involved wiggling the mouse very fast between the two options when I play this card and clicking randomly

Also the way I was interpreting her WIM was based on having seen her join like 1 or 2 mechanically complex games here or there or somewhere and assuming this was her only account. If you try to care as little as possible about how you're read, this should flip right-side up. The players I see end up with this trend seem to have too many false survivalism undertones as town. Those go away the longer you play even if you don't focus on it or anything.

Yeah, it says the FIRST mafia member was obviously picked pre-game. Nowhere does it say when the second mafia member was picked prior to gamestart.

I think even if this was a double-elimination it makes more sense to spread your bets out, target the 2nd elimination under the assumption that Pooky is !Town rather than Pooky is !Scum - it's just the higher EV play imo. I've never played a double-elimination game before but I have played Nomination so my mind immediately jumped to some form of nomination mafia where post restrictions would get lifted. That's why I kept spamming the "again" quote over and over because it really didn't make any sense to me why town would choose to go down the Pooky!scum path again.

I don’t necessarily see that experience should be a particularly significant factor. Why couldn’t an experienced player have misread it? It wasn’t made clear, I think that much is obvious, so maybe plusJOYED is actually town then?

It's kind of a place to start and something to talk about but dayplay should end up greatly overriding it.

I think you've played lots more games than Ydrasse. If by happenstance her fewer games overlapped with more people in this lobby well I didn't know that

As I think about it I think you have a lot of point about me having a bad tendency to think you're good at scum and be paranoid and want to ice you out instead of read you. It was pretty bad in Achievement. And I think in a post restricted environment that tendency got exacerbated.
Pooky played scummier in post restricted while being similarly recruitable, I just kind of fell onto instincts and biases instead of sifting because of it being a bit of a meme game :/

I think there are two ways to approach the gladiate. Try to determine as best we can which of either is more likely to be scum or if we think they both could possibly be town, attempt to then determine, which one is more likely to become potential misexecute bait later on and possibly cost us the game with their misexecute.

I’m not currently scumreading either but I disagree with Kanna in that I find Isis to be a little townier but this could also be based on playstyle. I think if Pooky plays similarly in the next post-restricted phase, should there be one, he might be in this situation again, so I’d like to see some more awareness on his part about how he was perceived and why.

@Pooky, do you understand why Drusilla scumread you on D1? I suppose I should also ask Isis about why she thinks she was condemned on D2,

Basically, both of you were condemned for a reason. You both were preceived to have played the scummiest from most of the playerlist on the different respective days, irrespective of your actual alignments. So understanding of how and why you both found yourselves that situation, and thoughts about how you might handle things differently should we have another post-restrictive phase would be extremely helpful. Simply assuming whosever pushing or doubting you to be scum isn’t helping either of you but clearly understanding how your posting contributed to you getting condemned and how you would proceed differently are probably the most helpful things either of you can do, to help us sort you your play here, either as possible alignment or potential misexecutebait. Because if neither of you do that, I’m afraid who ever survives the gladiate might be re-condemned for pretty much the same reasons.

I think when making reads is difficult, proxy voting with a townread is a strong strategy that just so happens to mimic a powerful scum strategy (with one errant townie you create this pseudoscumteam of 3 players instead of 2 that votes way better). So it makes sense that I got scumread. I was accepting that risk.

If I'm actually selected and people will townlock drusilla after, I'm similarly content. I think drusilla is town here. Her mindset for phase two was similar to mine and she's not using any means of simplifying her argument with Pooky to make it easier for her, she's kind of taking the argument the hard way because she cares so much about the core points.

I would be sad to be wrong on this read. Trying to read shiki is fun

This is kind of strange. Why would it make sense for a Pooky!scum to want to win an argument? It doesn't help my position in any way - arguing is usually counterproductive to survival especially in a setting like this where it's 1 or the other.

It's empirical so I don't put a burden on it to make sense, but it's because winning arguments is something scum can be good at, genuinely expressing the alignment they would like to express, cannot be done. So it's a real trend. When I roll scum I have an urge to want to win arguments and be right also. I just finished a game where Chara caught my scumpartner Hectic doing it and concurrently in the scum PT you can see me contemperaneously making that assessment of his play.
