Once in the game during night, you may target someone other than yourself to be a Gladiator for the next day (they may gladiate someone during the day, if done so they and the gladiated person will be the only ones eligible for being voted or eliminated).

Alignment Amorphous Apparition


The apparition faction doesn't kill. Instead, they "possess" people. What this means is that an apparition can take the role of the person they possessed. In the morning it will say that no body was found, and there will be no flip. The Alignment Amorphous Apparition takes the alignment of the person as well as the role. Each apparition can only possess one person.

This Apparition isn't informed of other Apparitions and isn't in the Apparition PT, like a Traitor.

If this role card appears in a context where alignment and role must be split or only alignment or role is to be considered, this card is an Apparition Traitor

Mod Note: This used to be something else, but it was term-replaced.

The game starts at Day i instead of Day 1.

The day after Day i is Day 1 + i, then 2 + i, and so on. i is the square root of -1 and is in the set of complex numbers.

Odd/Even Day/Night roles don't work on complex-numbered days/nights

Town Limit Ordinalizer


Each night, you may force the cycle number to increase to the next limit ordinal.

The first limit ordinal is ω (omega), which is the first infinite ordinal. Therefore, the first time using this ability will cause the next Day to be Day ω

The next phase after Night ω will be Day ω + 1. Using the ability again will make the next phase Day ω2 instead.

Even/Odd Day/Night roles consider every limit ordinal to be even, every odd numbered successor ordinal to be odd, and every even numbered successor ordinal to be even. For example, Day ω is even, Day ω+1 is odd, and Day ω+2 is even.

If the cycle number is somehow less than 0 when this ability is used, mod discretion applies to whether a Limit Ordinalizer increases the cycle number to 0 or ω.

Groupscum who aren't Doctors or Traitors have guns, as well as these roles: Cop-likes, anything with "Cop" in the name, Neapolitan, Gunsmith, Detective, Vigilante, Paranoid Gun Owner, Vengeful, JOATs with one of these powers, Inventors with one of these powers, anyone holding an invention with one of these powers.

You won't see guns on groupscum if they don't have any of the aforementioned roles however.

Town Bubble Shielder


Each night, you may protect a player from a random other ability targeting them that night. This is a water-based ability.

If the player is targeted by a fire-based (e.g. Arsonist prime or ignite) ability that night, this ability will fail.

If the player is targeted by an electric-based (e.g. CPR Doctor) ability that night, they will unavoidably die with the flip suppressed (as if Janitored).

Town Elemental Bloodhound


Each night, you may choose an elemental power and learn if a player is
Town
or
Not Town
. Using an elemental power will make your ability based on that element, e.g. Fire Bloodhound is a fire-based ability, and Ice Bloodhound is a cold-based ability

You may use elemental powers only once. If you somehow exhaust your elemental powers you will be turned into a Bloodhound.

List of elemental powers available:

Fire
- Fire Bloodhound will also Seer-check your target.
Ice
- Ice Bloodhound will also roleblock your target.
Electric
- Electric Bloodhound will also render your target immune to other non-killing abilities.
Water
- Water Bloodhound will also Cop-check your target.
Earth
- Earth Bloodhound will also protect your target from one kill.
Wind
- Wind Bloodhound will also vanillaize your target if they have a negative utility role.
Light
- Light Bloodhound will also clear any lingering effects from your target.
Dark
- Dark Bloodhound will also cloak your target in darkness, roleblocking them and making them receive frightening visions of a random night action targeting them the next Night (if they weren't targeted the next Night, they will receive frightening visions of demons).
Aether
- Aether Bloodhound will also give your target a random invention from the Grand Idea Mafia thread.

Each night, you may attempt to earth kill a player.

If a player is targeted by both a Earth Kill and a Wind Kill, both the earth and wind kill fail. If multiple (at least 2) successful Earth Kills target a player, they are Strongman and thus ignore protection.

Town Alchemical Water Blaster


Each night, you may blast alchemical water at someone, interacting with other elemental abilities.

They will be rendered immune to fire-based abilities.

If they are targeted by cold or ice-based abilities, they will be roleblocked.

If they are targeted by electric-based abilities, they will unavoidably die.

If they are targeted by earth-based abilities, they will be coated in sticky ooze.

If they are targeted by wind-based abilities, they will be notified that they feel cold in the breeze.

If they are targeted by light-based abilities, they will gain 1 shot of Bulletproof.

If they are targeted by dark-based abilities, you will learn their alignment.

If they are targeted by aether-based abilities, they will be charged with a mysterious energy.

For example, you can ask if there are exactly X townies in this setup or not, whether there is a Doctor in the setup or not, if there are Aliens in the setup or not, if there are two groupscum teams in the setup or not, if there is a third party that ends the game if they win or not, if there is both a Cop and a Tracker in the setup or not, if there are either 4 non-town or a Role Redirector in the setup, or if there is either a non-town-aligned Roleblocker or a town-aligned Rolestopper in the setup or not.

Example Invalid Question due to not being yes/no: How many Mafiosi are in the setup?

If you are the only one to die during the night, the moderator will instead state that no one has died during the night, and you will still be seen as alive the next Day. You will be informed that you died, but that you may still post once more.

If you post during the Day or survive to the next night after dying but still being seen as alive, you will be revealed as dead and the flip will be suppressed. If you are somehow die in the Day (e.g. by elimination by vote or dayvig) while dead but forgotten, you will still be revealed as dead and the flip will be suppressed.

Town Strong-Willed Dreaming God 5: The Dreaming God Strikes Back


Each night, you must choose one of these abilities to use. This action can't be blocked, redirected or interfered with in any way:

Connections
Dreams
Flavor
Knowledge
Lockout
Pressure
Stasis
Vision

You may choose each ability only once, and will not know what the ability does until you use it.

Mod Note: Remove "5: The Dreaming God Strikes Back" from the role PM.

The Strong-Willed Dreaming God's abilities are (feel free to randomize each ability from all Strong-Willed Dreaming God abilities of the same name if you want, this applies to other iterations of the Dreaming God as well):

Connections - Add all living players except one to a PT with daytalk.
Dreams - The moderator will post "I'm dreaming of X" at the start of the next Day, where X is the name of a PT that exists in the game.
Flavor - Three random players have their names colored a random color in the next Day's votecount.
Knowledge - One random investigative role in the votecount is colored blue, and one random protective role in the votecount is colored green. If both target the same player, they are colored cyan.
Lockout - Nobody dies the next Cycle.
Pressure - White Flag is in effect the next Cycle. That is, if a scumteam has one member, they get endgamed immediately.
Stasis - One random player will be rendered Voteless the next Day.
Vision - The moderator will post "I'm dreaming of X" at the start of the next Day, where X is the number of roles (alive or dead) that the moderator dislikes as a moderator.

I assume something like this can successfully target an Extraterrestrial Commuter? Unavoidable death is akin to dying from Weak, you'll die regardless of what happens.

Once in the game during night, you may render yourself absolutely unable to die, be treestumped, be restless spirited, or otherwise be rendered a life status other than alive for any reason at all for the Night and the next Day. This works as if you were untargetable to those things. You are still invincible for the cycle even if you somehow lose this role.




Invincible has been edited so unavoidable death clearly trumps Invincible.

Town 1-shot Strong-Willed Combined Commuter Nexus


Once in the game during night, you may choose to commute. Any abilities targeting you will be randomly redirected to someone other than you, and if the redirection can't happen for whatever reason (e.g. Strong-Willed) the ability fails as if you were untargetable. This action can't be blocked, redirected or interfered with in any way.




Modkills should ideally make you not exist for all purposes including wincon purposes, but with the flip intact and showing you turned into a Neutral Survivor. Since you don't exist for wincon purposes, you immediately lose when modkilled.

And the Annihilator still gets stopped by Invincible, as annihilated is a status other than alive. Modkills ideally can't be stopped. Ever. Not even someone safe from modkills is safe. The point of modkills is to preserve game integrity as a last resort when a slot is compromised, and allowing them to fail or be an incomplete removal of a slot defeats the point of modkills.

Town Unstoppable Vigilante


Each night, you may attempt to kill a player. Your kills cannot be blocked or protected against.




How a ToS style "defense gradient" would work in this game:

Basic Attack / Nightkill - A normal nightkill. Factional nightkills and Vigilante shots fall here.
Basic Defense / Protection - Normal protection. Most protective roles such as Doctor and Rolestopper fall here.
Powerful Attack / Juggernaut - Juggernaut or Strong-Willed boosted attacks will shred protection.
Powerful Defense / Untargetability - Commuter or anything that renders you unable to be targeted by nightkills block even strong-willed kills. Anything that blocks even strong-willed kills such as Invincible also goes here.
Unstoppable Attack / Unavoidable Death - Dying from Weak and other sources of unavoidable death will kill even the untargetable.



Modkill - Absolutely cannot be stopped ever not even in the event of power creep. I actually mean it this time. Don't allow your game integrity to be harmed by power creep.

Don't go to Invincible Defense or else you're just going to inevitably spiral into a runaway defense gradient.

I reworked Invincible to actually say it works like being untargetable to things that attempt to alter your "life status", to avoid it being interpreted as Invincible Defense instead of Powerful Defense.

Each night, you may attempt to steal a player's role. If you successfully manage to steal a player's role, you will have your role changed to that player's role and that player will have their role changed to Vanilla, removing their non-factional abilities.

This role can't successfully target Vanilla players as they already don't have a role to steal.

I’d suggest you stipulate this can only be selected by methods that still require some randomness of selection
Otherwise it can be handpicked, which I don’t want happening with that role specifically.
It's meant to be the counterpart to Rigged Dice Buster (fair dice meaning dice with equal probability to land on each face), only allowing semi-random picks would make it not a counterpart but a strange variant and I'd have to rename the role to something like Weighted Dice Role. I'd rather change the role to some other strong role card like a Town 1-shot Universal Cop.

" (bold is required, and you should replace X and Y and Z with the relevant players) to give X and Y and Z a 72 hour post restriction that disallows them from talking about or to each other for any reason. The first time X or Y or Z violates this post restriction, they receive a warning. The second time, they lose their vote for the rest of the day. If they violate it a third time, the offending player shall unavoidably die.

That would actually destroy the game, so no. Scumpartners technically aren't listed on the true role card if you think of role cards as physical cards. Neither would the Informed's exact info, but what the Informed is Informed of is on the physical role card so a Universal Cop sees it.

As a Goodra, you can't be coated in sticky ooze, but you will coat anything targeting you in sticky ooze.

You will know if you are coated in sticky ooze.

Despite being a Pokémon, will never join a Pokémon scumteam if a Pokémon Trainer exists. However, a Pokémon Trainer can still win if a Charizard is alive (this endgames the faction Charizard is in).

When performing the factional kill, you kill with fire, as if you were an Arsonist priming then immediately igniting your target.




I'm assuming the Pokémon alignment only exists if a Pokémon Trainer exists, and it's considered groupscum with no factional kill (they do in fact get the factional PT though).

I've edited my Pokémon roles to be Town-aligned if a Pokémon Trainer doesn't exist.

Town 1-shot Annihilator


Once in the game during Night, you may attempt to annihilate a player. An annihilated player is treated as being completely nonexistent for all purposes except win condition (an annihilated player counts as dead for wincon purposes).

Annihilation pierces protection and immunities that specifically protect against killing, since Annihilation isn't considered killing for action resolution purposes.

Annihilated players disappear without a flip (and can't be targeted by even Strong-Willed Coroners!), are removed from all PTs they have access to, don't allow backups to grab their roles, and aren't added to the Dead PT, for example.

You are endgamed if all non-Traitor Alternate Mafiosi are dead.

In the event a setup is generated with a Traitor as the only member of a scumteam, make them Vanilla instead.

Mod Note: Mysterious energy is mysterious, it will have a subtle effect. Mysterious energy is a lingering effect that lasts indefinitely. Mod Discretion applies on mysterious energy's effect.

- Your ability attempts to kill if it is successful.
Defender
- Your action fails if your target didn't attempt to target you.
Double Strike

Flying

Alternate Mafia Quantum Tunneler


If you go a Day while keeping your vote on one player (you only vote that player that Day, and you never unvote that Day), you will swap roles but not alignments with that player.

If that player ends up being eliminated, they will flip as their alignment's version of a Quantum Tunneler while your role is changed to what they had.
