But in any case a wine swapping exercise doesn't rank as highly for me as a bayesian scumtell I find reliable so I'm just not super deterred.

They are very shady. But they don't seem overconfident he's scum. "I'm not ok assuming you are town" is pretty obviously several degrees from strong certainty on a scumreadIn post 858, Kanna wrote:

Shading hard and scumreading hard aren't quite the same thing, it can often mean you think something's scummy but if that thing did flip town wow will you be mad about it"Let us say that you are right and there are two worlds. Hm
I think the pictionary was weakly town indicative. Do you really think it's fully equal probability to be posted by town and scum?"Let us say that you are right and there are two worlds. There's no no-execute.
Are you saying Kanna is scummy for not realizing that dru is townier because dru mistakenly thought scum knew extra about the setup, and if dru was scum she would know that extra information doesn't exist?
That is such a complicated sentence to write.

Sure, I guess that can be an incentive? Again, I don't think the explanation is that important. I've played mafia over a decade and have noticed scum care more about being right than town does. There's an RC quote that's something like "It's a lot more effective to hunt based not on what it seems like scum should do often, but instead on what they actually do often". It's something scum do often"Let us say that you are right and there are two worlds. How much, then, is this 'other world' worth to you? What do you have there that you do not have here? Money? Power? Something worth causing the prince so much pain for?'"

This is the most alignment indicative post in the game for me atm.In post 810, drusilla wrote:

This post is sarcastic ay ef.
Which is a feature that pops up in shiki's towngame, but not her scumgame.
She made similar sarcastic jabs, or half-rhetorical questions in Reservoir Dogs as town.
And it's a level of prickliness that is different to the only scumgame of hers I'm familiar with, which is this one.
When I reviewed her iso there, sarcasm did pop up after all - in a scum vs. scum interaction. And it makes plenty of intuitive sense why the quills would come out for that occasion but most of the time her scumgame would be softened. So there is an asterisk on this if Pooky is scum.
It's hard to townread anyone without insulting their scumrange but I see it less likely for drusilla to know in the back of her mind she is castigating actually upright behavior and still bring the barbs out when her approach does a lot more to build rapport with one person at a time as scum.
I'm probably townreading Kanna more than shiki now anyway but emotional manipulation has unfair outcomes"Let us say that you are right and there are two worlds. How much, then, is this 'other world' worth to you? What do you have there that you do not have here? Money? Power? Something worth causing the prince so much pain for?'"

with a lot of tells you have to modify the confidence level based on personality. Individual users that project Survivor tell as VT are a pain where you have to rely on associative reads instead, or lack of content. In post 898, Ydrasse wrote:oh, huh.
i guess i'll keep that in mind. honestly i think a lot of people just wanna be right regardless b/c of pride but it makes sense that it's probably... easier to be right?
if someone had a track record for always wanting to be right you would have to dampen the tell as applied to that person but like if you base it on the average person in average conditions it works
I don't know of Pooky being excessively preoccupied with being right"Let us say that you are right and there are two worlds. How much, then, is this 'other world' worth to you? What do you have there that you do not have here? Money? Power? Something worth causing the prince so much pain for?'"

Confirmation bias is fundamentally town indicative even though it has a strictly negative effect on decisionmaking, so it's sometimes something that feels wrong/bad even though it applies to a slot that is town.In post 897, Ydrasse wrote:
i don't have any sort of experience playing w drusilla so i can't speak to the bop thing but the confidence that she's shown thus far has been offputting to me. i don't have a great amount of confidence in anyone anymore and seeing someone exhibit it feels weird because i can't make myself believe in anything that hard this game.In post 854, Kanna wrote:drusilla is dropping for me because (soulread) i don't think she would be this confident in something based on this shaky evidence. shiki is so smart, she should be highly bopped. if things she's saying doesn't add up to us, she's probably just scum
i'm struggling to figure out how to phrase it but it feels like drusilla has already made up her mind, to some degree, and is instead going through the motions of acting out a way to reach the conclusion she already has? which feels worse than the confidence part because that is maybe just game experience?"Let us say that you are right and there are two worlds. it is fascinating that the two players everyone agrees are the most recruitable are precisely the ones that got gladiated. It's just a funny coincidence. Taylor Swift doesn't know anybody. I don't know how much you know anybody. Not_Mafia has enough site presence that he ought to know everybody, I think. PlusJOYED I presumed hadn't played much since his recentish joined date since I haven't noticed much of him but Kanna snapped at me that Ydrasse knows more people this game than she does so I figured PlusJOYED must have played with Ydrasse so that comment can make sense?
When I say "knows everybody" I'm kind of exempting Tayl0r who just joined the site and you who I think was fully inactive before this game started.
The general notion that if it feels like the Pooky/Isis gladiate is TvT then it's doubled probability to be one of the players unfamiliar with other players seems like, not an illogical tilt.
I idly wonder whether Not_Mafia never recruits me here because I don't prefer his playstyle or always recruits me here because I don't prefer his playstyle. He was a pretty cooperative scumpartner the time I rolled scum with him but on the other hand I've been on record saying I think playing the way he does makes mafia less fun for me, so I wish he wouldn't.
Not_Mafia who would you recruit if you rolled scum this game?"Let us say that you are right and there are two worlds. How much, then, is this 'other world' worth to you? What do you have there that you do not have here? Money? Power? Something worth causing the prince so much pain for?'"

When you say your reads are pointing that way, who are your top scumreads? In post 915, Loki Dokie wrote:

The general notion that if it feels like the Pooky/Isis gladiate is TvT then it's doubled probability to be one of the players unfamiliar with other players seems like, not an illogical tilt.
I idly wonder whether Not_Mafia never recruits me here because I don't prefer his playstyle or always recruits me here because I don't prefer his playstyle. He was a pretty cooperative scumpartner the time I rolled scum with him but on the other hand I've been on record saying I think playing the way he does makes mafia less fun for me, so I wish he wouldn't.
Not_Mafia who would you recruit if you rolled scum this game?
I think everyone could be scum so it could maybe be harmful to stay on the recruitment guessing topic too long."Let us say that you are right and there are two worlds. How much, then, is this 'other world' worth to you? What do you have there that you do not have here? Money? Power? Something worth causing the prince so much pain for?'"

PlusJOYED assumed that this was a setup where essentially the mafia are lovers and all the townies are also secret lovers and there is only one elimination, from among the gladiated players. Going off of that assumption, if Pooky and I were both town, Hectic would end the game early and announce that it was a scum victory. He would similarly need to end the game early and declare one faction the winner if Pooky and I were both scum, which could be viewed as a scumslip for plusJOYED not including that possibility for the sake of completion.
So he wasn't saying anything about the condemning process was guaranteed to offer a choice between a town and a scum, but that he thought the fact the game had not been concluded early indicated that it was a choice between a town and a scum."Let us say that you are right and there are two worlds. How much, then, is this 'other world' worth to you? What do you have there that you do not have here? Money? Power? Something worth causing the prince so much pain for?'"

The game would end early because town loses no matter who they eliminate. In post 939, Ydrasse wrote:

i don't understand this explanation
If I was moderating a closed setup, and two goons nightkilled untill all that was left was a VT, an innocent child and a 1-shot town gladiator and the gladiator fired on the VT, I would declare the end of the game.
of course PlusJOYED's assumption that we are currently in eLo because of a bastard mechanic that makes the next elim decide the game is a really bizarre assumption. But the conclusion does follow."Let us say that you are right and there are two worlds. How much, then, is this 'other world' worth to you? What do you have there that you do not have here? Money? lover is a role that makes connected players all die together if any of them die. A secret lover would be someone who was not informed that they were afflicted with this conditionIn post 952, PlusJOYED wrote:

You said in one of your posts you thought the game would end after Pooky or I was eliminated, so it's just a rephrasing of your position"Let us say that you are right and there are two worlds. I didn't break down the townslip into its nuts and bolts because I think most/all the players would follow but you said you thought scum recruitment would happen day 2, and a scum could not possibly think that, because they would already have chatted with their new partner during day 1. My transition in my read on you was based on that being a strong evidence you were town and not based on your vote/pressure being cast on me and wanting to relieve it. I'm now at a juncture where it's important to figure out whether you were lying about thinking the scum teammate was recruited after day 1 because if it's not a lie you're 100% town and if it's a lie you're 99% scum (some people very few people lie as scum please don't be one of those people I beseech everyone)

You either pick who you are more likely to be wrong about, or pick the person you are more like to change your mind about later and decide should be eliminated after all. Those are pretty similar selections. In post 974, Loki Dokie wrote:

plusjoyed's "dumbtelling" about dumbtelling itself, like, being slow to pick up and accept that I would have a rapid read change based on dumbtelling, actually gives me better feelings and seems to have more reliable realness than the original dumbtell. Though still not foolproof. But I think it's funny that the dumbtell inception is even stronger. In post 979, Kanna wrote:i also feel like plus/taylor have possibly dumbtold and there's a lot of dumbtelling that i don't believe all of it is legit. but that's something else"Let us say that you are right and there are two worlds.
