The Curse of Rata Mall - Carpark

Welcome to the Rata Mall Carpark. Its small, and interesting.

The carpark is sealed off to the south. The exit door has come down. It was open before. A new addition from when you all arrived is a dead body on the ground.

There are five cars here. The goods truck is missing (Will update graphic when I get time). The eatery entrance is smashed.

You can't see anyone in the eatery.

The carpark door opens.

It reveals the roadway, which you can wander down when you are ready.

Its night outside. That explains why it was getting so dark in the mall when people played with the lights.

There is a full moon, so you will still be able to see

Johannes eats, ingests, consumes, devours, swallows, gobbles the tablet.

Rubberduck and Groza both return.

The carpark exit closes.

The parking brake was off, so the car slides off easily. (yeah, I know Groza would have pushed the car had he been here so let me contradict previous interactions with cars)

There is a manhole cover on the ground.

There is a tunnel under the manhole, but it appears to be fully flooded.

And returns

The water has drained enough to walk through it.

Johannes flicks on his light, and walks in a little way

You would guess that you are approximately under the bank. No sound though.

[ambic]

The tunnel continues on. You can move on when ready. You are currently alone in the tunnel, and if RD doesnt join you, I will create a new thread

Both of you are underneath what you think would be the bank. The tunnel carries onward.

The tunnel is wet and damp underfoot. There appears to be three gold bars on the ground here. Very large, probably valuable. They probably got swept here while the water was (very quickly) draining.

You pass underneath what you guess to be the bookstore.

[ambic]

You arrive at a larger area, where the roof has been blown away, and a large amount of debris - swirled around - and dropped by the draining water. There is a metal box on the ceiling, and you can see into the remains of pipe work up above. This is probably the bathroom area.

THe gold is back under the bank area. You will have to double back to see it.

Johannes is by the gold.
Lacey is at the bathrooms.
Just up ahead the tunnel turns right.

Its in the ceiling. Its been blasted open from the top. You cannot reach it.

You can see that there are a couple of drain holes in the roof. Small enough to put your arm through if you wanted, but you have no reason to that I know of, and they are out of reach.

You carry on to the Barbers. The tunnel is smaller again. There are gas pipes running along the roof here.

Its high enough you could reach with a boost.

Johannes puts down his briefcase, and lifts Lacey onto his shoulders. While balancing, Lacey is able to see both into the bathrooms, and the box... (And also the small drains, but they are also seeing into the bathrooms)

Johannes picks up his case, and you both head past the barbers and under the hardware store. Nothing much to see here, other than its way darker now you have turned the corner fully

You hear echoing noises from nearby

From here, you are under the cafe. You can hear something like the walls being ripped apart up there, metal being torn. What on earth is going on up there? The gaspipes on the wall are shuddering from the force.

The L stands for Lacey, the J stands for Johannes - it's who is where on the tunnel map in case you split up, etc

You arrive underneath what is probably the lab. There is machinery here, but it all seems to be off. THe machinery looks suspiciously like some kind of nuclear device, and a lot of lead casing. There are cables running up from it to and through the roof.

You can see damage at the top of the machine, like it was vaporised. A small amount of the floor is missing, and you can see into the lab. You can see the edge of some kind of machine. Could be the portal machine. You can make out the arm of a dead body through the gap.

The tunnel appears to end here.

[ambic]

There are also gas pipes running along here, but no outlet to the lab. They continue through a solid wall to the south.

The machines seem harmless. The radioactive compound would have been in the vaporised parts of the machine. If this place was bombarded with radioactivity once, it probably dissipated once the machine was destroyed (Shush Nuclear physics experts who say 'Thats not how it works') :-p

You tap on the wall.

[ambic]

No, but you can just.... just look into it.

[ambic]

In the lab you can see some bodies. Nexus(Cindy) is clearly visible. SHe is covered in debris. She is lying in the centre of what appears to have been an explosion. She seems to be next to someone so similar as to be her twin. There is a male body in a cloning vat. It seems to be dead. It has an electric cable running to the remains of the reactor. The exits from the room appear to be destroyed.

You can see the machine that seems to be the portal. It has a cable running into the ground, and you can see that cable running down along the wall of tunnel toward the basement. It's not running from the reactor, so that cable is probably live.

The hole is too small to fit through, and your crowbar will knock away small amounts of debris, but nothing like the amount you need to get in there. Maybe if you had a month.

It appears the room has had two sources of electricity. One was the nuclear reactor: It appears to have been connected to the cloning devices. THe other machines seem to be connected by a cable that runs down into the floor, into the tunnel where you are and heads directly south, and into the wall where the basement is.

Just, yes.

The machine appears to be a mechanical table with a device behind it. It seems you lie on it for some reason, and the machine does something to you....

Probably not. It looks pretty solid, made of tungsten or some such thing. (In reality, from here you cannot tell)

To be clear, are you aiming for the Machine with the table, or the Portal machine

The beam hits

THe machine is vaporised in a single shot

The walls around it give up the ghost and collapse on top of it.

The room is now a bigger mess than before, but the portal remains in tact.

[ambic]

The collapsed remains of the westwall start to move, like something is coming from the other side

[ambic]

It explodes open, like a cave from the Cafe. Frankencasey bursts into the lab.

He is looking around the room, and starts picking up the debris from the shot, and starts blocking the hole back up. It's like he is programmed to defend the lab.

And you both slink off away from the lab. Not safe to stay there. As you slowly leave, you realise the Frankencasey seems to be armed with a crowbar, and has a crossbow strapped to its back. You do NOT want to encounter this thing any more than this.

Yeah it appears you do still have paper and a pen - so as you pass - you record 14592, 89892 & 10197

And with that you return to the carpark, and a nice quiet night away from Frankencasey, and the possibility of more of them in future.
