My high school graduation project was actually based on games of chance, I think I still have the blackjack calculations somewhere on my hard drive.

I always had a vague idea to redo it while keeping card counts in mind instead of assuming an infinite deck.

Generally in these games it's just instructions. Otherwise he'd probably have given us a language to use.

It's mostly just common sense, describe what you want the bot to do in any given situation.

I tried to make a more advanced version of my bot, unfortunately haven't quite figured out how to have it respond appropriately to the dealer having a 10 or A.

I think my bot should have bet the minimum round 2, I think you may have based the bet on Count instead of TCount?

Bet high when the deck is beneficial to the player, bet low when the deck is beneficial to the dealer, make optimal moves during the game itself.

I'll leave you to figure out how to do that :P

Your bot can remember what happened in previous hands, you can use that to determine whether you're more likely to win or lose before the next hand starts and base your bet on that.

For example my bot calculated it had a slightly under 50% chance of winning the first two hands so it bet minimum, then for the 3rd and 4th hands the odds were slightly over 50% so it bet higher.

Eh, it's not like we're waiting to make a decision, it'll be done when it's done.

The deck seems kinda dead and I guess your bot doesn't gamble?

I have this image of two bots sullenly sitting at the table:
"Min bet"
"Me too"
"Low hand again"
"Me too"
"Lost again"
"Me too"
"'Nother round?"
"Sure, whatever"

I figured I was probably the only one who implemented a counting strategy.

I think Apple Siri was also using basic strategy, just written out instead of as a table as ND bot and mine did? So all three seem pretty much equally good at the actual game.

The second shuffle the deck just immediately went trash and stayed that way, so counting was kinda irrelevant. In the end I think I got lucky that in the one moment the first shuffle that the deck was good my bot bet big and won big.

You used the wrong kind of simple.

"Use the strategy in this image."

More legitimately, the simplest vaguely decent strategy for blackjack is probably "stand on 17+, otherwise hit".
