That was damn fun. Optimal strategy suggested I should neighborize the IC and full claim there, but as soon as I figured out AE was ffery... Yeah that went out the window. Seems like it was a good idea in hindsight too, my neighborize wouldn't have worked!
Chara, I want to give you a shout out for holding it together really well, especially in the face of an Assassin guilty on d3. I think you did the best anyone could with the situation you were handed.
All <3 to ffery for being the mason I always wanted.
It was a privilege getting to play with all of you.In the timeless words of a great and revered man: "Blow it out your ass."

Yeah I think the biggest thing that hurt scum was being too low key in the master phase. Chara recovered well from the early gaffe with Assassin but poor midwaybear got gangbanged, hard.
I sort of wonder how different this game would have been if prism hadn't immediately slipped. Though, walking in thread and giving the mods shit for messing up was a one way ticket to a fight with me!
Pedit: The pages per phase was great. If this game had turned into a 150 page per day shitfest (as many of your large themes have~) I'd have been out. I think the slowing down the game was more due to us waiting on the lurkers to come out of hiding before shoving dynamite in their mouths. In the timeless words of a great and revered man: "Blow it out your ass."

What on earth for? You replaced into a situation where you were the only scum left and were scum by both POE and night actions. Not a whole lot anyone does in that situation. Even if you HAD been able to turn it around, you'd have died when we policy'd the lovers before lylo anyways. No need for apologies. In the timeless words of a great and revered man: "Blow it out your ass."

For my part, I didn't really care if Shielder was town or scum. I wouldn't have been surprised by a red or green flip. I was simply certain that them continuing to live would be nothing but a distraction for town going forward. I stand by that, too.In the timeless words of a great and revered man: "Blow it out your ass."

This is why I argued so hard against using the master vote as a cop. Losing a member is a huge deal for scum and going that route would have to have some insane value for scum roles to be worth the loss of a member, and a charismatic one. In hindsight it should've been more obvious that scum just let the master vote go, but 20/20 etc.In post 3452, borkjerfkin wrote:I definitely hear the scum team that the master selection needs to be more enticing to scum in future. It seemed like a Pyrrhic victory even in the case where they did get nommed -- losing a member in a setup like this is something I'd think long and hard about, and even if you give it to a less obvtown town-leader type it still leaves you with one fewer elimable player. In the timeless words of a great and revered man: "Blow it out your ass."

In the white flag case does scum still lose a member if they win the election?
As for the Kingmaker idea, I'm not sure that'd make it much easier for scum. If scum gets Kingmaker, and then kingmakes a buddy, wouldn't that remove the buddy from the game and be essentially a scumclaim from the kingmaker? I guess maybe if you kingmake someone who has scum in top tier townreads, but that requires some hella coordination and charisma to pull off.In the timeless words of a great and revered man: "Blow it out your ass."

Yeah, they really boned themselves with that. The archer late vote swing convinced a lot of undecideds he was scum, and you naturally turned out to be a goddamn town singularity. Of those three, you were scum's worst nightmare for an IC!In the timeless words of a great and revered man: "Blow it out your ass."

The scum upgrades were just the individual with a master upgrades. Lancer's was the best. The rest of them were kinda eh, with some niche uses for Ruler's in combo with his NP.In the timeless words of a great and revered man: "Blow it out your ass."

You voted Assassin, and he was a town player~

Couldn't agree more. This game was a blast and I enjoyed every minute of it. I could've neighborized half the damn playerlist and still had a blastIn post 3540, fferyllt wrote:I would play this flavor again without hesitation, avatars and all. The design is awesome and I feel like we explored about 40-50% of the possibilities. The various entanglements my role could have had with Berserker and Foreigner never came close to firing as far as I can tell. Probably a good thing for my sanity's sake. Winding up in as many as 3 neighborhoods would have seriously tweaked my paranoia.
The player list is awesome, too! I reluctantly came out of mafia retirement to play a Cabd game, and this game was totally worth it.
Also lol @Cabd ever letting RC into one of his gamesIn the timeless words of a great and revered man: "Blow it out your ass."

Mm, my first game on site (well, first completed game on site) was in a town with Empire-Mina hydra, actually got to meet Empire in Texas and both of them at Chicagomeet! It was a pleasure playing with you too,Mr. President,Assassin, petapan. In the timeless words of a great and revered man: "Blow it out your ass."
