Also, I know I've gotten rid of it, but I'm confused how the Monster Call would work. Is there a separate money stat, or is it just throw away an item worth at least 100 gold?

Gold/money is a seperate stat than what an item is worth. Gold is like coins you have.

Once you pm the card it is DiamondSentinel's turn since there are no monstrs on the table for the monster move phase.
